Customer reviews for VIZIO 65" Class V-Series 4K High Dynamic Range SMART TV - V655-J forVizio tv
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have finally been able to spend more time on learning this tv. It seems easy enough and I am a beginner at streaming. This tv lacks in the sound, which may be due to settings not done. I am working on that.
Overall great TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've own this TV for over 2 years and it has been nothing but amazing! Being able to download all streaming services, the Vizio TV is amazing with the offerings it has and being able to use Airplay and or Android stream has been a life saver when an app doesn't work properly.
Great Customer Service
Our TV quit working after about 3 months. We called Vizio and did everything required to test the TV. They declared it was broken and they would send out a new TV. They sent out a new TV and everything is great at this point. Great Customer Service! I had the same thing happen with Samsung and not the same service (I have not bought a Samsung since).

Great value for money
A great purchase in my opinion. Purchased this for my basement for video games/football games. Very impressed. Keep in mind I'm not using the smart features so I can't speak to that, as I've got an old PlayStation 3, XBox series s and a fire stick hooked to it. Can't speak to long term longevity yet as I just got it today. But so far for Xbox and watching with the fire stick I like it. I looked at other sets, such as a sceptre on Walmart.com for 100 less, but it would have had to have been shipped. I also considered the onn 65 inch for 50 dollars less, but at only 50 dollars less, why not just get the more well known unit. My parents have 2 or 3 vizio sets that are probably approaching 15 years old and no issues with them, so giving this one a shot. To give a fair comparison, we do have a 65 inch tcl roku tv in our living room, I think it's a 4 series. To be fair it is a nice TV and we like it, but I feel like this tv is much nicer than the tcl. When I purchased the tcl it was literally because that was the only 65 inch set in the store. Between these 2 screens, I'd take this one any day. This isn't a high end oled screen so if you are looking for the best of the best, keep on looking. But value for money, this seems to be a good set with a good picture and good sound even from the built in speakers. The built in speakers won't give you a lot of bass like with a sub, but not bad at all. I would say this is a great living room/family room set for not a lot of money. Sure it costs more than the very budget sets, but at 50-100 dollars price difference, unless you have a very strict budget and can only afford the other sets, I feel like this one was worth the extra money spent. Very pleased thus far.

Finicky Interface - Not So Smart
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First TV I've bought in 20 years. The old Panasonic plasma finally gave up the ghost =[. I have a Harmony remote and if the Vizio turns on before the input device it gets stuck until I turn off the tv and turn it back on again. Real pain. Now I have to reprogram the remote so the tv is last to turn on. That's a defective design. The picture quality out of the box was horrible. Had to bump up the sharpness quite a bit and turn down brightness - that's a factory setting that should have been better out of the box. Also does not seem to be a way to save these tweaks so I'll have to reset these if the not so smart tv loses its memory…. Miss my plasma, much better picture quality.

Better than my Samsung
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this a month ago to upgrade my bedroom system. Completely blown away. Sounds exceptional and honestly sounds better than the Samsung 5.1 channel i bought earlier this. No compliments and budget friendly
Vizio television
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Vizio television that I have bought. I have had the other one for about 6 years with no problems. I got the new one for Christmas. It is a larger screen tv. I would but vizio over any other brand.
Easy to Use
This is my first smart TV purchase! I wish I would have purchased one a long time ago! If you are cutting the cable and going to streaming services this will make your life so much easier! I also added a Vizio V series 6 speaker 36" surround sound bar and it feels like I'm in the theater watching movies!
Problems already
I've had the tv a few months and all of a sudden smartcast is failing, had to factory reset that fixed it for a while, then another factory reset needed. Smartcast finally quit failing so much but then after watching TV for 30 minutes you can't use controller to accomplish anything, you have to hard boot the tv to gain access to the functions again. So unless you stay on one channel always this sucks.
