Not having to manually crank the umbrella closed after it's rained is the first-world convenience I never knew I needed — it's genuinely awesome. The blue color is rich and solid, the built-in light works exactly as expected, and the overall build quality feels excellent and sturdy. Yes, it costs more than a basic umbrella, but the automation alone makes it worth the extra money. Highly recommend if you want a hassle-free, reliable umbrella.

Very pleased with this purchase. Technology is great. I've lost many an outdoor umbrella due to unexpected wind gusts. The auto down feature is a game changer. The powered raising and lowering of the umbrella is awesome. The remote has very good range. Recommended!

This is the best patio umbrella I have ever owned. I can use the remote from within my home and close/open the umbrella from over 20 ft away. The light has multiple settings and provides enough light for a late evening card game. It’s stylish and well made.

The options this umbrella has are unbelievable; a remote control to open/close, a built in solar panel to charge the built in LED lights, a wind sensor that automatically close the umbrella if it detects the winds being too strong. It is high quality and it is easy to assemble. I would highly recommend this umbrella.

Purchased this past spring (2026) and now it is August 2026 so I have had several months of use. So far I am mostly very pleased with this smart umbrella. The auto close feature with high winds is the main reason for purchasing this expensive umbrella and that feature has been working great! It is nice being able to raise the umbrella of hot sunny days and walk away knowing that it won't blow away %26 get damaged if a big wind blows when I am away %26 nobody is paying attention. However the light has already stopped working which is disappointing going into fall when I actually will have the need for it.

BUYER BEWARE. Dont take my word for it. Before you buy call the customer service number 1-888-889-8320. You will be placed on hold you will be told to leave your number and they will call you back. They do not. email the customer service at service@theabove.com. You will not get a reaponse. The umbrella was terrific and easy to put together. It stopped working after 2 months and I truly believe it was a fixable problem,and the company has a warranty. BUT, you can not get in touch with them. After many many attempts I did receive an email asking for the proof of purchase and a picture of the issue. I sent all of that in.... no response. The bad thing is I loved the product but now I am out the money and have no umbrella. If it works it is great but if it malfunctions for any reason you are screwed.

I bought this because I wanted the wind feature. It doesn’t work. Every time the wind blows my umbrella is blown out of the stand and laying by my fence.
