I just assembled the chair last night. So far, so good! I'm a big guy, 6' 6.5", 335 LB. In it's highest setting, my feet barely touch the ground (a good thing). The rating on the chair is 450 LB, the seat padding is pretty firm. The back does NOT tilt WRT the seat, so if you were looking for a recliner, keep looking. The whole seat does recline, but you have to pull the single lever OUT away from the seat to unlock the tilt. Guess that has confused some reviewers. I have killed several chairs over the years, so far it seems solid.
I am using it on hardwood floors at home, the rollers do not seem to be hurting the wood.
A note on assembly - yes, the directions are IKIA style, pretty short, all pictures. The parts are well packaged, I especially liked the fasteners packaging. The screws all had blue lock-tite on them, this is good. Pay attention to the ID of the screws in the pictures and on the parts card, it helps to use the right screw in the correct hole. When you are assembling it, position the cushion on another chair or a stool upside down. Position the part you are assembling on the cushion and install the fasteners FINGER TIGHT in ALL the holes required for that part, getting them started at least a couple of turns. Then, use the supplied hex wrench to evenly tighten all the fasteners, I recommend tightening each screw until it ALMOST touches, then use a pattern of tightening where you tighten each screw about one turn, then move to the screw opposite it, like you are supposed to tighten lug nuts on a car (for 5 bolts numbered like a clock it would be 1, 3, 2, 5, 4 and repeat). Tighten firmly, then move on to the next part. When you tighten the screws attaching the tilt/swivel base to the seat bottom, look and make sure you can put the seat back screws THRU that plate and into the seat bottom. That was the only assembly issue I found, one hole in the seat bottom was right at the edge of the tilt/swivel base hole, I had to push the swivel base to one side to get clearance, making starting the screw that holds the back on hard.
All the assembly went well until you get to putting the seat back on the seat (last assembly). With the seat face down on the support, tilt the back and put in the 2 screws nearest the center of the chair, Then put the back against a solid vertical wall, push the seat cushion down and toward the back with your knee, pivoting the seat around the first 2 screws you started, and start the other two screws. Tighten the last 2 until they are touching the seat bracket, then use them to pull the back into position (the bracket flush to the seat). After the outer screws are snug, snug the 2 closest to the center and tighten all 4. That was the toughest part of the assembly.
Good luck, if I have any problems later I will resubmit my review.
