It tastes really good for what it is and the price point. Many people are put off by the "pillow fill" packages, expecting the usual vacuumed down pack like most lunch meats have. I'm guessing they are trying to not get the slices all crunched together? Or possibly they are filling them with pure nitrogen (with no oxygen the bacteria may not grow as fast). I'm not sure I like these gas filled packages but that is not what I have an issue with. It says "SHAVED Smoked Turkey" NOT Sliced. When I buy shaved turkey in the deli it is near tissue paper thin and falling apart. Because this is processed turkey with some sort of binder it COULD be shaved thin and not fall apart. But I have bought these 2 packs 3 times now and each one has had slices that run from "carving board sliced" thick to medium-thin (like regular slices of ham or bologna). It's shave about as much as President Lincoln was. And then there is the SUPPOSEDLY resealable Ziploc style "press and seal" closure. Someone in the factory must be laughing his backside off every day. Every one on the 6 packs I've bought had the heat seal / plastic weld run right across the press and seal tracks of the bag. When you open the package by pulling to separate the top and bottom plastics, you simply rip one of them off, because that reseal area is WEDLDED SHUT. It would make some wonder if their quality control on the packages is that bad, how is their quality control on the food product itself. But I find that 50-75% of O.M. brand products in the regular grocery stores that have a "resealable pouch" in fact are also welded shut right over the zipper. And my final issue is the "Best By / Consume By" dates are ridiculously difficult to read. I mean REALLY? A medium gray printed on a dark brown background. There is a cream colored stripe across the top, then a red stripe. The print would show up GREAT on either of these, but instead they designed in a nice dark brown box on the right end of the stripes, obviously set aside to print the B.B. date, then decided to use a charcoal gray thermal printing medium.

Nastiest tasting, watery, slimy turkey I ever had. must have changed Quilty because this never tasted this bad before. Feed it to dogs. When things like this happen, I will mark brand off my list because if you down grade one item you down grade all. I will not buy Oscar Mayers ever again.

This is terrible. The taste and quality. Definitely not shaved like it says.

I bought this thinking it was shaved whole turkey breast and was sorely disappointed after opening package to discover it was processed meat. Packaging very deceiving

You gotta be kidding me. Where is the flavor. It tastes NOTHING like turkey and for that matter it really has no taste at all. Nothing more than overly chopped and ground up processed bits that is apparently glued back together pumped through a tube and sliced removing all taste of the turkey. What a waste of a perfectly good animal resource.

My son-in-law purchased my items at Sam's--among them was the OM turkey breast. He said all of the bags were puffed up like a balloon but he purchased it anyway and thought it would be okay. I have not opened the turkey and have decided to throw these bags away after reading that they might not be safe to eat. I have purchased this product many times in the past and have never had a problem before

This is chopped, pressed, formed and roasted/smoked turkey white meat. Like the "Roast Beef" you get at a certain fast food restaurant. It has a homogeneous texture, not like natural turkey breast meat that has a natural grain. The bag was puffy as many others mentioned but didn't effect quality or freshness. The initial smell was off-putting but the meat itself wasn't spoiled. It is a little wet but not oily. I wouldn't recommend this if you like to eat it by itself but would work fine on a sandwich or for non-picky kids.

Ordered this for curbside pickup and didn't actually see it until I got home because I had asked person bringing order out to go ahead and councils items in cooler. I've bought Oscar Meyer products for years and never seen anything like this. The package was blown up like a balloon and looked like it was about to pop on both sections. I was not willing to make the 60 mile round trip to return the product (no Sam's club in my town). I called the toll free number on package and was told it was probably from the nitrogen put in the package for freshness but it shouldn't affect the taste. I said I was afraid to eat it and was then told it could possibly be spoiled. During the pandemic the curbside pickup is great for us old folks but next time I will watch while my items are loaded to be sure everything looks OK. In any case, I won't ever buy this item again. After the fact, I read other reviews and found out I was not the first to have this problem.

I bought the Sam's brand sliced turkey for years. It's been "discontinued" unfortunately so I tried this. Disappointing to say the least. Won't buy it again. Had to dry it between paper towels to remove the excess moisture (part of the 40 oz, I'm sure). I'll switch to another product even if it's more expensive.
