After speaking with a Sleep expert they recommended this medium Hybrid option due to my size. I am 6ft 9in and 300 lbs. I have never spent so much on a mattress before but figured it would be worth it if it meant I could finally get a good night's sleep. Sadly I was disappointed. I gave it a month and was desperate to get rid of it. It was way to hard and I just couldn't find a comfortable position. I would wake up with terrible hip joint pain in the middle of the night. I am too young to have hip pain. I have found more comfortable mattresses for much less.

Warning -- if you buy this mattress you'll have to give up staying in hotels, because no other bed will be as comfortable as your own. This bed solved my back problems! We bought directly through Tempur-pedic and had a perfect purchase and delivery experience. I can't recommend this highly enough.

Bought a split king in two different firmnesses recommended by the sleep specialist. After 90 days of terrible sleep ended up swapping to a standard king or medium hybrid pro adapt and have never slept worse in my life. After almost a year now of "breaking in" it's gotten worse. Only in our 30's and now have more back and hip pain than I ever imagined. Don't sleep, tossing turning, neck back and hip pain. Absolutely terrible. Spent all the money on all the hype just to be in shock at how terrible it sleeps. Should've gone with my other options of other brands. Would not recommend

I have lost so much sleep trying to adjust to this bed as a side sleeper. It makes me feel stuck in place in the shoulder area and I have been tossing every night and waking with numbness and tingling in my hands. It feels comfortable if I lay on my stomach or back but I am a side sleeper. I thought it would help my shoulder and hip pain but it has not worked for me. It does not align my body, it makes me feel like my head is higher than my shoulders. I called after having it for a week and not sleeping and was told I had to follow the company policy and keep it for 30 days before making a return. I'm in week three now and have not had one restful night.

I believe that owning a Tempur-Pedic mattress and pillow that is the right one for you is the key to achieving a restful night sleep and pain free. I no longer have to go for a biweekly massage that, oftentimes, only causes more neck and back pain. What is so wonderful about my Tempur-ProAdapt mattress is that it contours to the shape of my body. There are times when I do not lay my head on my Tempur-Pedic pillows, and that is absolutely fine too if you ask me. So far, I own two mattress from Tempur-Pedic and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is going to last me more than 20 years. With care, weekly laundry-washing, and the soft touch of Tempur-Pedic bedsheets and pillow covers, I know for a fact that IT IS GOING TO TAKE CARE OF ME! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On my new firm tempurpedic mattress I've had he best sleep I've had in years. I sleep through the night, and feel supported at every point. It's been especially helpful because of a recent back injury. I can't think of any drawbacks honestly. It's expensive, but good sleep is worth it. We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping, so it's worth the investment in yourself. I wake up more refreshed and energized than i have in years of sleeping on my old mattress.

This mattress was so soft in the store, instant love. My hubby likes a slightly firm mattress, and I prefer sleeping in clouds. The salesperson told us to jump on the bed (we don't have the electric base) so that it'd add wear to it. The first 2 weeks I slept okay but the bed was firm. It adapted to my body, but honestly I wasn't comfortable and thought I'd just made a HUGE financial mistake buying it. Fast forward 6 weeks and my standpoint has changed, A LOT! The mattress still seems a little firmer when we first lay down, but it adapts to your body and is so comfy. I've been getting some of the best sleep I've ever gotten. Hubby is a side/back sleeper and I'm a side/stomach sleeper. Side note: both hubby and I were getting weekly, sometimes bi-weekly adjustments at the chiropractor. In the 8 weeks of owning the bed, we've each only been adjusted once. Our chiropractor said that the bed is really helping us by providing the support we need in our necks/backs.

Has taken awhile to adjust and still a work in progress. Harder or maybe denser than I like. There was a Tempur-Pedic sales rep in store that day. Sales person ask what I was looking for in new mattress and my sleep patterns. Told her I had good experiences with euro pillow tops while traveling. But she recommended the mattress I purchased over the pillow top. Not sure if might have been more satisfied or not with pillow top. But do wonder about my choice due to the firmness and breaking in period. Know I could return for a fee but will try to make this one work. I am sleeping more sound. So will probably be ok.
