My husband was reluctant to spend more than $500-$950 for a mattress that one needs to replace every 10 years, if not before. With our Tempurpedic's warranty, and the amazing sleep comfort, he's among your greatest fans! I needed 2-3 days to adjust To our new mattress and now I'm enjoying comfy, sound sleep.

I'm still trying to adjust to this mattress. I am a side sleeper. There are some mornings when I get up and think this is a pretty good mattress, other mornings I wonder if I should have made a different selection as I have felt a strong pressure point on my right hip and soreness that lasts a few minutes after I get up, so It seems the mattress could use just a little more cushioning. I haven't noticed this so much when I sleep on my left side. I do have an old injury to my right hip so that could be the problem. I wouldn't say this is a terrible mattress but I wouldn't say that it is a super great mattress either.

This is our second Tempur Pedic mattress. The first one lasted 15 years.....it was still comfortable but it was just time to replace it. It took NO time at all for my husband and I to get used to it. We slept like babies from the first night on....(no...we didn't wake up crying for a bottle every two hours ! LOL!!! ) If it's time for you to replace your mattress, we HIGHLY recommend a TempurPedic. Take your time and try out all your options. You won't be sorry!

My wife and I purchased this mattress after finding Tempurpedic mattresses to be far more comfortable and firm to the initial press. My wife tosses and turns at night as a light sleeper, so a mattress with extreme initial give in most foam mattresses cause her to have dizziness issues. Tempurpedic mattresses prove to hold their shape until body heat slowly causes the foam to mold around - it's amazing. As for me, I sleep like a rock. Now, I sleep like a boulder. Thank you. No complaints other than they are quite expensive.

I have to say, this is the strangest mattress I've ever slept on. It feels like a concrete slab at first touch, but somehow the concrete turns to butter the second you lay on it. The foam forms to every part of me that touches it, from my shoulders, to my hips, to my ankles, and warms quickly, creating a sensation unlike any other I've ever experienced. I used to wake up sore almost every morning on my old mattress (which was a foam hybrid, too, but not the right foam hybrid), but that's not something I've experienced with my new Tempur-Pedic. I keep thinking I should, but I don't. This mattress is expensive, but after sleeping on it a bit, I can see why, and I'm glad I spent the money. Without trying to sound hyperbolic, I can honestly say I've rarely been as comfortable on a mattress as I've been on this one, and once I get used to it and stop waking up to freak out about how awesome it is, I think I'll probably start sleeping a lot better, too.

Mattress was purchased for help with back pain and pressure point issues. Mattress was very firm but is softening. I like the mattress but it is very HOT. My initial impression is not a great one as far as comfort for the price. I guess time will tell. Btw, the cloud pillow is hot as well. Hopefully I can remedy the situation. I think the bed could be great if it was just cooler.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used memory foam mattresses for years in my whole family. This mattress blows all of those other ones out of the water. At first we were a little skeptical about the firmness. Upon laying on the bed at first it feels like it is going to be a hard mattress, but as you lay on it you can feel your body kind of sinking into it. The mattress really does conform to your body. I used to toss and turn all night long trying to find a comfortable spot to sleep in. With this mattress I roll onto my side and I move maybe once during the night to readjust myself, because I no longer feel the aches from being in the same position while sleeping. I love that this mattress does not cause any aches and pains while sleeping in one spot for hours. I can even fall asleep better with this mattress. I have a hard time with falling asleep at night, but I get so comfortable and relaxed in this mattress that that hasn't been an issue. I used to have to take Melatonin just to be able to fall asleep. With this new mattress that has not been an issue for me. The one downside I think of this mattress has is the thickness. I personally prefer a thicker mattress, and a higher bed. That is a small issue in the grand scheme of things and I would choose a comfortable mattress over the depth of a mattress for visual reasons. I would recommend this mattress for anyone who wakes up with everyday aches and pains, because they WILL be gone. You will wake up refreshed and well rested! We purchased our mattress in December of 2016 and I was excited to try it out. I was hoping that the memory foam would help with my shoulders, low back, etc. My husband didn't have any issues. When we went to the store to check the mattresses out, the salesman made a big deal about us laying down on the mattresses so we could select the one that best fit our needs. Well the Medium firm mattress felt wonderful. And we laid on it for quite a while. We also tried the Soft one and it was very soft and didn't seem to have any support. So after discussing with the salesman, he said that it would probably take 60 days to break in the mattress so that it would be like the one we tried in the store. And if we were not happy with it, we could return it for a different one. Within 30 days, both my husband and I could hardly walk when we got up in the morning. The mattress was so hard. I put a foam pad on it and that helped a little. So we went back to the store to see if we could get a different one. They said we should give it more time and that we should not have added the foam - well they weren't sleeping on the darned thing. They also said we could trade it in for the Soft mattress but it would cost more money. I was really frustrated. The thing already cost us an arm and a leg, I felt we had already paid too much and didn't want to pay more money only to find out the soft one wouldn't work either. They also said that the reason the medium mattress felt so good at the store was because so many people had laid on it, trying it out, so it was broken in really good. So we went home disappointed and feeling like we were ripped off and determined to make the mattress work for us so we didn't have to pay more money to the store. After 90 days, the mattress was still as hard as it had been day 1. So we put the foam pad back on it. It has now been over 2 years and it is still as hard as it was on day 1. And yes, the foam pad is still on there. With the foam pad, we aren't limping out of bed. I firmly believe we were delivered the hard mattress. Lessons learned - (1) it does not help to try out mattress in the store, as they are not what you will receive; (2) don't believe the salesman when he says you can bring it back, there will be a catch; (3) buy a cheaper mattress so you can afford to get another one when the new one doesn't work out. I'm writing this at 1:30 am because I can't sleep, my shoulders are aching from laying on the mattress.

I noticed improved sleep while using this mattress as well as reduced motion from my partner during movements throughout the night. Initially I was skeptical about a memory foam mattress but the Tempur Adapt has made me a fan. I highly recommend this mattress to anyone looking for a great night's sleep. My only con for the Tempur Adapt Medium is the low profile of the mattress. I'm use to a thicker mattress so I felt like I was too close to the floor. Otherwise, this is a superb mattress.
