It is quite firm upon arrival (as expected from description and other reviews). I'm sleeping as well as I always have. My partner is still not sleeping great, but that's also typical for him. He's reporting that he has fewer aches, however, so that is a positive. Want to give it more time before making any final decisions on the product.

Since getting the Tempur-Adapt Medium Hybrid, my lower back pain and neck pain have improved. We paired the mattress with an Ergo-Smart base and love the ability to adjust the head and feet of the mattress. I am a side and back sleeper and the mattress conforms well to either sleeping position.

We hesitated to spend this kind of money on a bed but so glad we did. Getting a good night's sleep night after night is worth every penny! No more back or hip pain, less snoring, built to last! We used vacation money to buy it and no regrets. A vacation is short term, this bed will last us several years. Money well spent!

I received this mattress for free from BzzAgent and Tempur-Pedic in exchange for my honest review. I was really surprised to see it delivered sealed in a bag and not fully expanded. It weighs a ton so I am glad that I only had to move it once. I was excited to find that there are handles on the bottom, two on each side. I have slept on this mattress for about a month. My first reaction to this mattress was that is feels a lot firmer than I was expecting. This has gotten much better as we continue to break it in. Even with the extra firmness this mattress is incredibly comfortable and soft. Some other great attributes are that it features a cool to the touch comfort. I love that it "Adapts" to each sleeper. This has made my husband very happy. This 11 inch mattress has helped me sleep more comfortably as well. This means that I don't wake up multiple times a night like I used too. I have also noticed that my husband also gets a great night of sleep. I think part of this is because the mattress helps him snore less. This is because the mattress distributes your weight evenly. I love that is it made of several layers of TEMPER-Material. I think that this material is what is helping my husband with his back problems. Also, the mattress features adaptable material which absorbs motion absorption. I also like that it is recommended for side, stomach and back sleepers. However, there are two aspects that I don't like. It includes the fact that the mattress really sinks down when you are sitting or laying down in the bed. Overall, I think this is one of the best mattresses that I have ever owned. I would most definitely purchase this mattress. I highly recommend it to everyone who wants superior quality and comfort.

Very pleased with the mattress when I tested out at a store I knew I had to have it. The big test would be my wife because she was not with me at the time but she loves it too. You know what they say happy wife good night sleep something like that I think. GREAT BED.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I ordered this mattress in a split king so it could fit up our staircase. We are overall very happy with the mattress(es). It is comfortable and cooling. We appreciate the hybrid construction. Now to find a bed frame that keeps the mattresses from separating from each other!

I started out with the Pro Adapt..medium,but after a few weeks, I just didn't care for the very hard feeling top and I couldn't sit on the bed without sinking too far. The top didn't give any unless you put pressure on it. It may be better for someone heavier. I weigh about 150 lbs. and am 5'6". I exchanged it for the Adapt Hybrid. Oh my goodness!! It is perfect for me! It has the softer layer in the top and cuddles you gently without sinking in too far!! I can also sleep all the way to the edge and sit on the edge without it going down too far. Feels like I'm on a cloud! I'm also a sleeper that likes to be on my back sometimes and on my side sometimes. I can't wait to get in it every night!! Perfect!!

Do not get the split king. They continuously come apart in the middle. We purchased the split king and an Ease 2.0 base with assurance from customer service we could return if it didn't work for us. There is fine print. You can only return the mattresses. The base was faulty and came apart down the middle as well. Customer service didn't work with us at all regarding the base return even though it's faulty. The only option was replacement. But what am I going to do with a $1400 base that doesn't work? And a standard king doesn't fit up our 1900s house stairwell. Very unhappy customer.

About two months prior I had bought a brand new mattress. My hips would still hurt when sleeping on my side, and my back would hurt every time I got out of bed. As soon as the TempurAdapt arrived I put it on my bed. My hips have not hurt once since then and I can get out of bed without my back aching. I have also been sleeping great at night since I don't have to roll around every time my hips start to ache! I also sweat in my sleep alot and haven't once since using this mattress. It's so comfortable and has been a life saver since I'm no longer in pain and can sleep great! I definitely recommend everyone to try out this mattress!!

My experience has been bad. I bought the mattress from a local mattress company. When I started to have back problems, I called the number for Tempur-Pedic that said "Need Help? Talk to a sleep Expert." They refused to help me other than to tell me to call the mattress store since I did not buy the mattress direct from Tempur-Pedic. When one spends a lot of money to buy an expensive mattress, one would want to try it out first and you can't do that by ordering it directly from the manufacturer, I would think. I think I got the run around from Tempur-Pedic. I spent a lot of money for an expensive mattress and they only were willing to talk about if there was a factory defect. A back problem was a "comfort" issue and I was told to call the mattress store. The most useful comments suggested below says to contain specific information: How this product has changed my life: I have a back problem now. I don't know if it was coincidental with the purchase of the Tempur-Pedic mattress. But despite giving a phone number to call for help, I felt that they blew me off. Things you love about it: Nothing Things you don't love about it: I spent a lot of money to get a superior mattress, and I don't know if it is contributing to my back problem or not, but Tempur-Pedic in my opinion is giving me no useful help.
