[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new Tempur-Adapt, it is extremely comfortable. Right from the start I have had no problems with adjusting to the new mattress. I believe it is so much better for my back pain, I now look forward to going to bed. I will never buy anything but Tempur-Pedic.

I bought this mattress hoping to have a good experience, but all I did was waste my money on something that doesn't give me rest. The mattress sinks, and every day without exception I wake up with back pain, I have never had so much pain as now. The pain remains all day. I'm desperate because I spent a lot of money and I can't rest. I'm trying to find a solution, I hope Tempur can do something, since the investment is not cheap at all. When they solve the problem I will return with an update

Mainly I was looking for a non-chemical-smelling mattress, and I first tried a latex version by a different company, which was a wonderful mattress except that my shoulder ached every morning cuz I guess it was too firm. So I returned that one, and tried Tempur-Pedic's Adapt and I've been very happy with it so far. No chemical smells and my shoulder is fine. Yes I recommend this - I'm a 59-yr-old woman, 5'6", 145 pounds.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first you might be surprised how hard it feels when you lay down, but as it gets adjusted to your body and warms up you won't find a better and more comfortable mattress out there . It supports you just in the right spots and you will ask yourself why you did not purchase it way earlier.

We were very reluctant to purchase a mattress at this price but we are SO HAPPY we did!!! I went from waking up in pain everyday and not feeling like I had slept a wink. To not wanting to get out of bed in the morning! This bed is the best thing that has happened to us!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With our old mattress My husband often woke up with shoulder pain and I always woke up with back pain - since getting our new Tempurpedic we have both slept more soundly and wake up refreshed - no pain. The only issue that we had was the offgassing of the mattress which prevented me from sleeping on it the first few nights - but I am very sensitive to fumes in general. After a few days of airing the bedroom out with fans it was fine and I have been thrilled with it since my first night on it.

We have only had our bed for 5years and 8 months. We have about a 2 ft crack in the foam . They will not cover it because they said we don't have an approved cover on it. And they are saying that we spilled water on it. We don't drink or eat in our bed . This company is a scam they don't stand behind their products. It's a very expensive mistake we paid over 2,000 dollars for this junk product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a super senior I unfortunately have a chronic arthritic lower back issue and prior to the following explanation and routine was walking with a walker or cane.....every day and thought I would soon be in a wheel chair . I have followed my surgeons and primary care Dr's advice and have completed the xrays,mri's , facet injections, physical therapy and chiropractic therapy . I have lost 30 pounds and am now normal weight , continue to use... one... 75 mg anti inflammatory med 2-3 x per week , 12 specific back exercises as needed ,2 x per month 1 hour therapeutic body massage ....AHHHHHH...:-))) ,3 water walking classes per week ...and purchased a Tempur-pedic adapt med hybrid mattress with an adjustable base . NO DOUBT the mattress has given me the most relief and is the most important part of my daily life since I spend 7-8 hours on it every 24 hours. I know this to be true since the above explained routine with out the new mattress was not giving me regular relief ! As a further mattress comparison traveling is difficult but now tolerable for short mini vacations since most up scale hotels and or relatives do not have tempur-pedic mattresses available . So the quality of my life has greatly improved .thanks to tempur-pedic . FYI we have several other high end mattresses in our spare bedrooms that are only 6 months to 2 years old and claimed to be the best there is for back issues ....NOT TRUE . Spend 3-6 hours in a mattress shop that sells the tempur -pedic mattresses and test the many models available . No doubt they are expensive ....but ... they work as advertised . Usually purchasing a mattress is worse than buying a used car, listening to most incumbent politicians or paying your taxes ....BUT the ...Tempur -pedic experience is different .. Do yourself a favor and find out for yourself as you and your back will be pleasantly surprised !!

I have found the mattress to be firmer than the one in the show room, making me wonder if it will become as comfortable as that one was. Hips and shoulders are less tight, but still feeling some of that after sleeping on my side. I was told it would take a bit of time to soften up a bit, so here's hoping.

If you are looking for beds to relieve your joint and other pressures points, like especially away from your hips and shoulder, Stay away! Do not buy this product. It felt ok when going into a showroom to lay for a quick test, but its until you begin to sleep on it after purchasing it, that my inner hip joints have been taking a beating. I wake up in pain everyday. You might as well sleep on the floor! My old sring mattress was noisey, but way more comfortable.
