Super Sticky!

I wanted something for performance in my 08 Mustang GT. From the moment I drove off with these on, I had a smile from ear to ear! The grip is unreal! It's like I have glue on my tires! While I only put about 30 miles on them so far, I say they are absolutely awesome! I'm not concerned with all-weather or mileage performance. I just want grip when I go fast and I got it with these Potenzas

Closeout Value

Tire Rack had two good options for my Audi A8L. It was between these Bridgers and Pirelli. Coming off the Pirellis that were noisy and warped, the feel and wheel control was instantaneous with these "new shoes". In the 200 miles so far, I have experienced a serene and controlled driving experience on the streets and freeway. Score of a buy!

Good overall performance

I typically buy Michelin Pilot sports for my Mini but I got an older date code set of these on clearance. Really surprised by the overall performance. Good in the wet and very good in the dry. Really surprised by how quiet they are. The PS's tend to be a little loud but these are much quieter. We'll see how they hold up but so far really impressed

Best performance tire I've ever purchased

These tires have a 30k mile lifespan and I've reached 33k miles on them despite how hard I push my car. Any hot day these tires will grip HARD. Unfortunately, any temps below 65-70 they will begin to slip a little if you're making anything over 300hp. They perform well in rain too better than my previous purchases. Great lifespan, comfortable ride, pretty quiet, great performance overall. Would recommend.

A Real Performance Tire

These tires are really fantastic. Car Power 400 Hp Car weight 4300 Lbs Tires 245/45R18 Recommended pressure from car manufacturer, Lower 32 Psi Higher 38 PSI. Front my point of view, Potenza Sport is. -Extremely good: Drive on wet. Dry and wet braking distance. Performance drive or racing drive (both wet and dry) . Cornering both wet and dry. -Very good: Drive on dry. -Good: Aquaplaning with lots of water. -Right: Confort, Noise, fuel consumption, tire wear. -Not good enough: Fuel consumption if tire pressure is at the minimum recommended by the car manufacturer. Finally I drove three times on the circuit, dry and wet for almost 400 miles. It is not a circuit tire, but it behaves well, very well for a road tire, especially in the wet. On the circuit it wears out relatively quickly and holds up better if it's not hot. In conclusion, a fantastic choice for performance or wet purposes, not so good if you are looking for a very comfortable tire with long life and low consumption.

November 2021, Sebring DE on new Potenza Sport

Just completed a 2 driver, single track day at Sebring. Total of (6) 30 minute sessions. Since our favorite RE-71R's are no longer available, I purchased the new Potenza Sport for street, autocross, and track use. The tires did great on Sebring turning 2:40:00's (intermediate drivers) on a dry, warm day, so they can likely perform even better lap times. Very happy but wish they were a bit softer (300 treadware rating vs 200 for the RE-71R).

Amazing Traction, Decent Value for Performance

You get what you pay for. These tires are meant to be high performance tires with an emphasis on traction in dry or wet conditions. In this aspect, the tire performs beautifully, which gives you great confidence. Being that this is a performance tire, it is expected that a compromise has been made between performance and durability. More traction=less durability. Some folks may find this to be less appealing but you get what you pay for. As an aside, regular rotations and balancing, along with proper tire pressures may elongate the life of these tires. Regarding dry and wet performance, these tires are excellent in both. I recommend these tires if durability is not a priority. Definitely buy these tires if you prioritize dry and wet performance, since these tires will meet or exceed your expectations.

Internal tire damage

I took my car into the shop yesterday to patch a very small nail puncture. Upon initial examination the shop said it would be an easy fix. However, when they removed the tire both sides of the internal sidewalls had split and were damaged to the point where the shop said they would be dangerous to drive on. I ended up purchasing a new tire but now am wondering about the tire on the left side since the damage is only visible if the tire is removed from the rim. The tread depth on the tire I replaced was 5 millimeters and had about 12,000 miles and I expected it to last for at least a few more years. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed to find out that that a $400+ tire was so poorly constructed that it lasted less than two years.

Will not buy these again

My car is brand new and these tires came on it when purchased. My tires are ALREADY almost completely balding at 25,000 miles. That's ridiculous. I am already having to replace them as soon as I can. I had a maxima that my original tires lasted 62,000 miles on and probably could've went longer. Defiantly not worth the money in my opinion and very disappointed

Potenza s001 poor value

In April I purchased 4 Potenza s001 for my Audi Q3 they didn't last 7,000. Normal road wears in Maine, and the tires need to be replaced. Bridgestone doesn't care that these tires have not met any standard Bridgestone claimed regarding the Portenza tires and Bridgestone customer relations will not discuss their own Bridgestone tires. I would not recommend the Portenza tire or any Bridgestone product due to their total disregard for their customers
