There is a bit of a similar feel to wearing a pad, but seems pretty low profile. The upper stretch part is so soft and extremely comfortable. I normally wear size 12/14 pants and these were a little big but not overly so. I would probably size down to achieve the best fit but the sizing was true to size what it says on the packaging. Provides great absorbency, definitely holds more liquid than I thought.
