I’ve been sick for 27 years and in those years I’ve had to wear diapers. I’m only 47 years old and to have to wear diapers was absolutely embarrassing. My health is really starting to go downhill, so I’d sent my husband to the store to get me Depends. I think my lasix is to strong for me now, I’m going to have to talk to my doctor. I put one of these Flex XL on and I thought they were going to be no good cuz they are so big. I decided to just keep the package since I’ve already tried one. Even with them being to big on me, they have been a LIFESAVER to say the least. Their very very comfortable and feel like you’ve got nothing on. I am a 69 year old man. I just had prostate surgery in December. Soon after the surgery I started leaking. Then it got a bit worse. So Depends was recommended. My first thought was oh no I cannot wear a diaper. However, I headed out to look. I was so happy to find the Flex Fit style. At this point I am going thru 4 pairs a day. I love them and so happy it is not a diaper. My only concern is if I must continue wearing them for a great period of time, they do get a bit expensive on a very fixed income. Granite I usually just have large leaks when I laugh or cough or if I don't feel like I have to pee and then out of nowhere I feel like I'm going to pee my pants, literally and I mean going from no feelings of having to pee to 30 seconds later I feel like I'm going to literally pee pants. Sometimes it gets so bad I have to do the don't pee your pants walk or literally hold myself so I don't pee everywhere. It's extremely frustrating and embarrassing but with the Depends fresh protection underwear I don't have to worry about it because if I can't make it to a bathroom I know I'm protected.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use these Depends for my mother-in-law who moved in with us. She is intermittently incontinent, so we replaced her regular underwear with these. They're really great for keeping her clean and to have for protecting our bedding, clothing, and furniture from getting soiled in case of accidents. The color is nice, and they do control odors, although they do not eliminate them. The reason I did not give this a five-star rating is because of absorbency issues. My MIL was sick and had diarrhea, and the liquid just sat on the surface of the Depend. So when we went to remove it, it spilled all over in the bathroom and on her legs. It's definitely better than not having them as it held the liquid in until we pulled them off. So we also need to figure out a better way to deal with this situation if it happens again, like maybe putting paper towels in before removing it to absorb. Overall, we definitely give it a strong four-star rating.
