A good basic GPS watch

Overall I really like it and I'm looking forward to using the suggested workouts, but the fact that I have to press extra buttons to get around it is a little annoying. Currently I have a coach and I'm having to go around it to look for my training. Anyways, it just takes more button pressing than on my old 45.

All in one

I love how it can be your all in one watch especially for running! It is super easy to use and gives you all the essentials that you need to know while running or even with other sports/activities that you do. I love how it asks you how you feel each time you finish a workout!

My Garmin Forerunner 55

I've had a Garmin Forerunner since Model 35. The Model 55 has all the great features of the Model 35 with added features like the Body Battery, a health monitoring function, on the Garmin The data transfers to the Garmin App and to Strava effortlessly.

Good watch if not wnating to run

I bought this watch and am happy with it. I found it confusing to start with, but all I had to do was treat it like any computer and press a few buttons to find out what happened. I really like the battery life. I have had it a month and only charged it once. Great stuff

Too many features for me.

I tried the Forerunner 55 with the HRM-Dual chest strap. Initially, the HR was incorrect. - off the charts high - as if I were using the watch without the HR sensor. I was having the same issue with my Polar Ignite 2 and H10 strap (initial HR way to high) which is why I tried out the Garmin. Since the result was no better than the Ignite 2, I returned the Forerunner 55. Additionally, there are too many buttons. After a run, I don't want a complicated button sequence to save the results. The watch face was too small for me - my eyesight is not that great. Once the watch got in gear (after about six or seven minutes) the HR was steady and accurate. Nevertheless, I just didn't like the watch.

Excellent watch at a low price

My first smartwatch. I've used this for a couple weeks, so I'll only give it 4 stars based on duration of use. I use it for hiking. It's simple, great for showing time, distance, heart rate, etc. The battery life is excellent and charges extremely fast. After a 3 and a half hour 15 mile hike the battery was still at 87%. If I could change anything it would be to display more data on the activity screen. Other than that, I'm impressed. Would recommend.

The battery life is huge

I bought my forerunner second hand and it is just unbeatable. Charging is merely optional every two to three weeks maybe. I’ve hit it on several metal surfaces with enough force to accidentally break it and it doesn’t have a scratch besides the one that was there when I got it. Honestly makes me scared at what put that scratch there. I work in a manufacturing facility with pots of molten metal around and this thing doesn’t complain about the heat. I love it never switching to anything else.

I miss the 25

I am having difficulty getting used to this watch. I have always used a Garmin, but I only need the basics, which I had with the 25s. I don't need the extra features and am not able to see the information that I want to see while I am wearing the watch. I have to download to my computer to see what the pace per mile is, etc.The pacing doesn't seem to be correct either, especially on the treadmill.

All I Hoped It Would Be!

This is my first Garmin after having many Fitbit devices since 2015. I’m beyond pleasantly impressed. The battery goes and goes without a charge compared to any Fitbit I owned. The functionality is great and it has so much more than I ever had with Fitbit.

Fantastic barebones running watch

You get just what you need for a running watch. If you are looking for a watch to just run with and get the essentials for a solid price, this is the watch for you. The app works wonderfully for free and gets you tons of good info. I've logged probably 500 miles on it and it just worked. I was sad to see it didn't have swim tracking, but beyond that it was perfect for a just running watch without too many trinkets and extra features.
