Great Watch

I purchased this watch in order to keep track of my runs. rides, and workouts. I specially needed that that the battery lasted more than a day. GPS works great when outside, but if you are recording workouts at a gym or somewhere indoors seems like the GPS signal is not great, which isn't a deal breaker for me, would be nice if the workout feature would use steps as distance. Also would be nice if the App would sync with Google Fit. Other than that I love the rest of the features, like the HR monitor, the sleep monitor, stress monitor and some others I haven't played with much.

The perfect watch for me

I bought this two years ago. It has been my running buddy. It helps me track the length of my runs, my menstrual cycle, my heart rate and my consistency. I love it so much that when I thought I lost it a few months ago, I bought the exact same watch again.

Amazing fit watch

I asked for it for my birthday to be able to work towards running a half marathon in the near future. It keeps me on track and it allows me to be able to keep track of my heart rate, steps and my energy level. It has helped me so much in the two months I have had it.

Cumbersome device

Not as simple and intuitive as my Garmin 220. The manual does not easily answer my questions. In time it may prove to be of value but for now I am a sceptic and not pleased. I had hoped for an updated version of my previous Garmin 220 but i got a more complicated version. Also, Garmin is overly directive in suggesting what the review contains. Corporate culture is controlling the message.

Complicated for my needs and Garmin Connect is bad

I bought it one month ago to replace my Forerunner 15 which no longer communicates with my desktop to capture run/bike workouts. It has a lot more functions making it complicated to use (I recently found out how to do lap times) and much more expensive. Still looking for the recovery feature that my old Timex Ironman had... measuring the drop in heart rate after completing run measured after 30 or 60 seconds. Garmin Connect was freezing, so I uninstalled and reinstalled, was prompted to update and I updated, then prompted to update again, after all that I got to log back in and now (finally) working.

Great price with great features!

I bought this a month ago and have been very satisfied. This is my third Garmin forerunner watch over the past 12 years, they just keep getting better and the tech support always has your back. Love the longer battery life and wrist pulse monitor on this 55 model. Lots of other great features and options but without the price of the higher models. Light weight, small face option for women and ease of use with minimal instructions. Basic watch that meets my needs with extra features.

Kinda of disappointed

I wanted to use it for running/walking, weight lifting class, elliptical, spin class. Good for elliptical, run/walking but I can not get spin or weight lifting, very disappointed. When I bought it I point asked the sales person and they said yes. If there is some secret I would appreciate someone letting me know how to get this.

Nice little upgrade

My 35 was rapidly losing battery life so it was time for a new one. The 55 initially has great battery life, very happy with it. I primarily use it to track heart beats, steps, and runs. The stress and body battery are fun, sleep not entirely accurate but nice to have. Overall happy with purchase

Great watch for running

I got this watch to help me track my run times, I hate running but this at least helps give me feed back about pace and distance. It's nice that it gives me alerts from my phone about texts or calls if I don't have my phone directly on me. My only complaint was while I was abroad it kept the time in America and this watch is expensive but it is cheaper than other options.

Not a good watch for me

Hello, I was hoping to find a suitable replacement for my Forerunner 35. The 55 has too many features for my needs and the screen is very difficult to read especially late in the day. I tried to work with the watch and became very frustrated as I wanted the time face and the watch continued to move me to the stop watch, I would try to click out of the stop watch and it would return and would not take me back to just seeing the time. Do you still have any Forerunner 35's or a similar simple watch without many features.
