It was delivered in a box which was super helpful as it was easy to move to its final resting place and opened there! I was surprised how much it instantly inflated and how tall it already was! I was able to open it up and wait for it to expand and I was not disappointed. It is on the softer side and has quite a bit of height. It can stand alone on a platform-style bed or can be paired with a box spring for a bit of added support.
