the color is clear but even with the setting to its full brightness is seems dark. we tried with the auto but still too dark. other than that it works just fine

this is our 3rd samsung tv in 6 years. we still use all 3. they are excellent. the pucture on the crystal tv is excellent like having cataract surgery if your an old person like us :)
