Lasted exactly 1 year then died

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several Samsung TVs and generally they are pretty good. This unit was lightly used and the screen went out at almost exactly 1 year of use. The sound still works so it is like the good old days of staring at a radio.

Please know we are here to help you. If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's entirely possible it could be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue: 1. Press the Home button on the remote. If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues. Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power). 2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device. For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1. If the TV is set to the correct source but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced. After reconnecting the external device, could you turn it off and back on? 3. Test the HDMI cable. Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step. The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords. To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required. 4. Test different external devices. The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting to a different device or using a different source port. If you were unable to test the cable in the previous step, then try swapping the cable, too. If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it. If the issue persists after these steps, then the TV will need service. Better than average. Suits my needs

yes, it is slow to react to the cable remote. i thought it was the remote, but after the second replacement, i'm sure it's the tv. that being said, the tv picture is very good. it's super clear. i'm not very techie and it's easy to use, connect to my sound bar and to connect an external bluetooth speaker to. i'm happy with it.

Good TV, Terrible Remote Control

Overall it a nice TV though I'm not impressed with the "Smartness" part. The web browser is both slow and quite awkward to use even with a wireless mouse and keyboard. It come installed with apps for Hulu, Netflix and Prime. I cant comment on Hulu and Netflix as I only have Prime but an Amazon Firestick with its own remote is far superior to the Samsung app which leads me to the Samsung remote control. There are dedicated buttons for Hulu, Netflix and Prime which take up real estate better used for something else if only for more spacing between other buttons. And Heaven forbid you unintentionally press one. Backing out is a frustrating three step process. There are two other menus available to access those apps. Why have dedicated buttons. The remote itself is too skinny, buttons on the small side and too close together. It's the only remote I've ever had that has the "power" button on the top left. It has a round back that prevents one handed operation when laying on a table or next to you on a sofa as it rocks side to side if you attempt to press a button. You must pick it up to use it or use a second hand to hold it steady. The buttons suffer from contact bouncing which is very annoying. Intermittently skips up or down channels and volume settings. Sometimes three of four increments. Bottom line: the worst remote I have ever had. BN59-01315A If you have cable and mostly use the cable remote, then it's not much of a problem. Otherwise ... I would only recommend this product to a friend after demonstrating the remote.

Amazing TV!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 4th Samsung TV and I will never buy any other brand TV. The TU7000 is hands down the best TV you can get in the price range. Picture is beautiful and extremely crisp, colors are very vibrant, sound is great and the refresh rate is excellent for sports and games. One feature I really like that this TV has that my older models do not is the gaming mode. I also like that you can disable the gaming mode and have all of the other picture modes and settings available while playing games. I made the mistake recently of trying a different brand. After I got it hooked up I promptly boxed it back up and returned it to swap out for this TU7000. Learned my lesson, I'll never buy anything but a Samsung TV from now on. Keep making great TVs, I love my Samsungs!!

Couldn't be happier!

Great secondary television

Good viewing and listening experience TV.

Picture clarity is fantastic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do love the vivid colors and picture clarity my Samsung 82" has. The built in speakers are excellent as well and thus I don't have to worry about a sound bar or having extra speakers all around my living room. I love how all my channel apps can easily be downloaded and easily accessible as well. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO Max, etc. All there! I would give this five stars if on occasion I did not lose connectivity. It could be my wifi network, but the trouble shooting I've done tends to lead back to the TV. I'll continue to research it and see if there's an easy fix (most likely there is).

The picture is awesome!

Would totally recommend getting this TV. We are now in the market for a new one as ours broke somehow. Probably going to get the same one.

Great user interface

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the TV to watch my favorite streaming services. I like how it comes with some of the samsung channels, but can easily search add my favorite streaming apps. its also super compatible with other add-on adn gaming systems, and the 3 months of apple tv doesnt hurt. All in all I found the 55in TV to be more than enough for my needs but am very satisfied with this.
