Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 43" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV UN43TU700DFXZA forOK Budget TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV is an OK budget TV. I'm not a fan of the Samsung OS for starters. I've seen a lot of Samsung TVs that the picture looks amazing on but this isn't one of those TVs. The picture is pretty average for UHD 4k. I'd also say that it does this auto dimming when it is showing dark scenes on the TV making it hard to see anything. Maybe it is a setting issue but it's annoying. Overall the TV is fine for the price and size.
Hi Shaunp45, Thank you for sharing your experience with the Samsung TU7000 TV and feedback on the picture quality and auto-dimming. Please know we are here to help you. First, let's make sure you are running the latest software. To do so, head to Settings>Support>Software Update, and you can easily update from there if needed. Great affordable TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned several Samsung TVs in various sizes. Samsung is a brand i have trusted for many years now. My new Tv has a great picture. The sound isn't great but I remedied that with a Samsung sound bar.
Love Iy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The television is lightweight yet durable. The sound quality is good but it could use a sound bar for music. The picture is crystal clear. The graphics on games like Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto, and Dark Souls are amazing. All of my favorite apps like Hulu, Netflix, and Prime are available and Samsung provides their tv at no cost. I recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their media experience.
Not what I expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture is not very bright. The smart tuner loses app sign-in info or ability and the TV has to be unplugged and rebooted to make it right. I would not have expected this from, what is supposed to be, such a good brand. I am very disappointed and will probably go back to Insignia.
Disappointed: Thank you for purchasing the TU7000 TV and for your review. I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the brightness levels of your picture. If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright you can try the different Picture Modes or manually adjust the Brightness settings to your liking. Dynamic Picture Mode will make pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to: Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic Or manually adjust the Brightness and other settings to your liking. Press the HOME button on your remote, then navigate to: Settings > Picture > Expert Settings You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode. Ambient Light Detection will also automatically adjust the brightness level of the TV, according to the ambient light level, to reduce power consumption. If Ambient Light Detection has adjusted the screen brightness to a too bright or dark level, you can select Minimum Brightness to manually adjust the minimum screen brightness. Go to Settings> General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings>Support>Software Update. You may want to enable automatic updates for convenience. Select Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update. I hope this helps to improve your picture. Picture quality
i purchased this tv less than 3 months ago. everything was fine then all of a sudden the picture would dim on its own and then go back to normalna day or two later. i tried to reset the tv as instructed hy support alonf with trying to adjust the brightness with no luck. very disappointed.
Donna: Thank you for your review of the TU7000 TV. If your TV is dimming sporadically on its own, you may need to disable some of the energy efficiency features. Disable Ambient Light Detection, Power Saving Mode, Motion Lighting, or Contrast Enhancer. Settings > General> Eco Solution> Ambient Light Detection Settings > General> Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode Settings > General> Eco Solution> Motion Lighting Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Contrast Enhancer Run Picture Test. When the tested image quality is normal, check the signal of the connected device. Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test I hope this helps. If your issue persists, please reach out to Samsung Customer Support, and a representative will gladly assist you. 1-800-SAMSUNG (ask for TVs), available 8AM -12AM EST, 7 days a week Or visit us on the Samsung website and click on the ‘Support’ link in the upper right corner of the homepage for: 1) Contact Us Options (LiveChat, Remote Support, Facebook, Twitter) 2) Product Support 3) Manuals and Downloads 4) Warranty Info 5) Product Registration: Registering your product gives you access to easy warranty support, convenient opt-in to special promos and offers, faster troubleshooting and service, and quick notification of system updates 6) Samsung Community: A great resource for getting help from Samsung moderators and customers and more 7) …and more product, repair, order, and care options ~ Samsung Solutions
Beautiful picture
this tv is great! has a beautiful picture, was easy to hang, and has a usb port built right in allowing us want anything we want. the only reason i have not given it 5 starts is i don't like that you can't remove some of the apps the tv comes with that we don't use. i also was not able to add the starz app so i have to watch from the browser. the browser is hard to navigate with the remote and it's time consuming.
Easy for older people
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Streaming movies , play games utube and watch movies on my dvd, it is so easy to watch and download different things. I am 67 years old so I'm not savvy on the new TVs but Samsung made it easy.
BEST TV EVER !
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 65" SAMSUNG crystal smart uhd after ALOT of research (past tv buyer remorse inspired) . My wife and i both love video games and movies and i wanted a tv that would work well for both plus have good sound on its own for a reasonable price. This tv delivers 100% everything i wanted with a gorgeous picture ,superfast refresh rate, awesome sound, and all around ease of use!!!
great value for sure
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color, mode, speed, resolution is all good. Although it's not the best TV, but it satisfied all needs of a regular bedroom/living room. Would definitely recommend it if you're not a fan of high resolution, just want some family joy together.
