The microwave itself is fine. Works like it should. BUT...who's the genius that thought it would be necessary to make the operator hit the cancel / Lock button before you can open the door? That's just not necessary and it's annoying! I would have given it 5 stars...but, some control freak in R&D decided that it was necessary to control our operation of the simplest of appliances. smh...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just purchased the GE Microwave this morning. I've already tried baking a yam potato & it came out perfectly cooked, soft & creamy. I'll be using it later for my dinner plate heating. It's very stylish. I'm impressed and very pleased with its performance. KUDOS to GE!

I don't like how noisy it is, sounds so tin like. Simply closing the door is sooo loud.
