The mattress is a bit more stiff than I initially thought it would be. However, I think this is probably due to fact that it's a foam mattress, so there's more support than I had grown accustomed to with my previous, beyond dead mattress that literally had mountains and valleys in it. However, I'm currently pregnant, so I'm a lot more sensitive (and limited in potential sleeping positions) than I normally am. I imagine sleeping on your back with this mattress is close to heaven. My husband and I had no issue with the mattress smelling as some reviews noted, but we also gave it a full 24 hours to expand and come into its own. I did not find it as heavy as some people did, and I managed to set it up on my own. Yes, I took it out of the box and set it up while pregnant. I did not, however, have to drag it up any stairs, and I did notice the next day or so that my back was telling me that I should have asked for help. I only want people to know that it is possible for a petite woman to set-up, even if that's not the best idea. As others have noted, it does take about a week for your body to get used to the new mattress. Once you've adjusted to your whole body actually getting support, though, you should sleep quite well. Over all, we are very pleased with this mattress, and it's hard to beat the price for the quality! We've been recommending it to friends and family, and it's definitely a good option for those wanting a supportive, foam mattress on a budget!

I had a pillow top for some years and although it was nice at first, after about the third year it started to have “the dip” in the middle. After talking with a good friend of mine (who also recently purchased a ghost bed) who has similar issues physically, went on and on about his new bed. Showed up in a timely manner and sealed real nice. Only took about, I’d say one full day for the bed to be completely to shape. No complaints here I don’t sweat at night anymore and I don’t wake up with back pain anymore either. Two thumbs up from this guy.

Ordering was simple enough. I did run into some trouble regarding my order being held due to my shipping address being different than my billing address. But in a simple call and an email, the problem was cleared up and I received my bed 2 days later. It's a firm bed, but after a few minutes it fades away and the bed is very comfortable. The pillows that I selected to come with it remain cool and soft.

This is our second ghost bed ever purchased. Our first we bought from a friend who had only had it for a year, was moving out of country, and couldn’t take it with them. We fell in love with it! So when we needed to replace another mattress in our home, GhostBed was the only option for us! I have severe back issues and Ghost Bed is the only foam mattress I have found that is firm enough to keep me from having back pain but still soft enough to be comfortable! GhostBed is the only mattress we will buy moving forward!

I've owned the King Ghost mattress and two pillows for almost three weeks now and it's amazing. Every time I crawl into bed tired or not I instantly fall asleep and won't wake up until an alarm. Best bed I have ever owned. Love everything about it from shipping to sleeping. Thank Ghost

Great quality and service. Everything shipped super fast and set up of the foundation was easy. Pillows are absolutely fantastic. The mattress itself is cool and comfortable. Much firmer than expected but hopefully that settles as you sleep in it more. Only complaint is that the foundation is made with not the best or even middle quality wood so a bunch of the pieces are split or don’t match. Hoping it holds fine.

We've owned our GhostBed for approximately 2 months and were pleasantly surprised with quality and comfort. We researched several other online brands with similar a price point, but the reviews ultimately brought us to GhostBed. We settled on the complete package: queen bed, 2 GhostPillows, mattress protector, and mattress foundation. All arrived as advertised. Mattress foundation was fairly easy to assemble; I would definitely recommend buying a cheap electric drill and have an extra set of hands available to assist in the assembly.

I like this bed. I'm still getting used to it. I didn't sleep in it for a couple weeks while it was off-gassing. Smell is pretty much gone now after 1 month. Starting to have a few nights where I sleep straight through, which is great. Will write an update in a few months.

My first mattress purchase ever! A perfectly firm mattress with practically zero bounce. I feel so supported and have slept wonderfully. The unboxing was a breeze too. Hardest part was cutting open the thick plastic. But as soon as the mattress started expanding into life, all we had to do was lift and drop right onto the bed. Two people needed for sure, though, as there are no handles.

We replaced our existing coil mattress with the ghost bed. For us it proved perfect and we’ve had it for over a month now. We like a firm bed so if that’s not your preference maybe choose another option. It did offgas for the first while but not excessively and no longer. Both the pillows (they come in queen size only) and the bed were a big hit with the better half and canine companion.
