I really thought one of these beds was the answer. I couldn't really afford to outright spend 3 grand on a mattress because I have 4 children and its Christmas time. However, my bed was a double tall air mattress in my bedroom floor; I had no quality sleep, and still needed to get up refunded and not stuff and sore, so I can work. The first week with my ghost bed I thought, OK, I just need to break it in; boy was I wrong. Its been 6 weeks and my whole body aches. Im a stomach/size sleeper. If I sleep on my stomach I wake up with stuff elbows and chest pain; if I sleep on my side I wake up with shoulder and hip pain. I've tried sleeping on my back even, I wake up with back and neck pain. The pillows are amazing, but the bed has to go back. I'd hoped this would be the answer to my problems but it was just more problems.

After 15 years, and 2 different Sleep Number beds, my husband and I knew we needed a major change for our backs, hips, and sleeping patterns. We were tossing and turning, aching when we'd rise, and not able to sleep full nights in our old bed. After lots of research we choose Ghostbed. The price was affordable, it was an inch thicker than most of the competitor mattresses, and it supports a great deal more weight than other foam beds. (Check their FAQ page for specific information.) Setting up the mattress was a piece of cake and sleeping in it is heavenly. I love that this mattress is supportive without giving that dreaded "stuck in a hole" feeling. No more restless souls in this king size bed! Also, we received 3 free Ghost Pillows with our mattress order. I must say, we were skeptical about memory foam pillows. We had yet to find a comfortable, cool, and non-neck bending brand. BUT...along came our Ghost Pillows and they were a dream. Soft, supportive, and cool. We allowed our 2 girls to try them. They're in middle school and high school and they loved them so much that we ended up ordering two more for our household. (It was a buy 1 get 1 free offer.) I can't stress enough how good it feels to have a restful night of sleep and no more aches and pains when we get up. And...I'm comfortable sleeping in all positions on this mattress and pillow. In fact, I'm typing this review while still snuggled up in my bed. Aaahhh! It's going to be a great day!

I'd been told to spend your money where you spend your time. Buy comfortable shoes if you spend your day on your feet. Buy a good chair if you spend your day at a desk. And definitely, buy a good mattress 'cause you'll spend a third of your life in it. I was really nervous about buying & sleeping on memory foam—I need a firm mattress or else I wake up feeling crooked and cranky. Nobody wants that. I sleep on a platform (or currently, with the mattress right on the floor). The Ghost definitely brings the firmness and I've been very pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the firmness has been. I've been sleeping soundly and waking without back pain for over a month now. I also tend “run hot” at night and was worried that, with foam, I'd be waking up drenched in sweat. Apparently, I needn't have worried about that. Lastly, I really can't recommend the Ghost pillows enough. They are also very comfortable, supporting, and cool through the night. They could, however, be a bit larger so that they actually fit a standard pillowcase. Does Nature's Sleep make a pillowcase that fits the Ghost pillow a bit more snugly? Send me a couple wouldya? ~DXW

I ended up picking up a Queen mattress about a month ago. Ordering was easy and shipping was very quick (mattress arrived at my door 4 days early). The mattress itself is of high quality and I've certainly felt better rested when I wake up in the mornings. I don't get hot on the mattress either which is a great feature from my old spring mattress. Would recommend.

I've had my Ghostbed (king size) for about three weeks now - My husband and I are pretty happy with the product. We received it within a week or so from ordering and unboxing was fairly simple (although the box was super heavy like any other mattress would be). We slept on our mattress the first night we received it and I'm mostly impressed with how firm the mattress is. I've never had a form mattress before and had an impression it wouldn't have a firm enough feel to it. The feel has been great for my back where it's firm construction but also soft enough to cradle just a bit. I was also really impressed with the edge-support. Sometimes I sit on the side of the bed to put socks/shoes on and the mattress edges don't collapse at all under the back of my knees.

I'm a lifelong insomniac, can rarely sleep more than 3 or 4 hours after being up for more than 36 hours. This of course creates challenges for my wife who's career requires her to have more regular and very long hours. My irregular sleep pattern would often wake her up even though we had one of the most highly rated pillowtops. She also sleeps very hot, so the cool technology was a huge win for her. Since we started sleeping on our GhostBed it has literally been a blessing for us both. I sleep more soundly with less movement, and whether I am lying down or getting up, it doesn't effect her sleep because there is no transference of movement. So basically I would have to rate this at the spiritual peace level because it literally has brought peace...

I purchased the queen size GhostBed with the mattress cover and GhostPillows. I got this mattress to replace an old pillow-top, so the difference was so stark it's hard to say it was merely an "improvement". I already knew I wanted more support (the GhostBed has a nice moderate firmness) and movement isolation (I can now get in and out of bed without shaking my girlfriend awake). The new mattress is supported by the old box spring, which I think takes away some of the GhostBed's support and stability. I'll probably try it on a platform at some point, and see how things improve. For now, however, the GhostBed is providing a much-improved sleep. And the GhostPillows are incredibly comfortable and supportive, though with a distinct mild chemical odor. That doesn't really bother me though, and should dissipate with time. Other mail-order mattresses I had considered included the Casper (tried in-store) and Purple, but after a lot of research I went with GhostBed and I'm pleased with the product(s).

This mattress is absolutely amazing. I never realized how bad my old mattress was until this thing arrived. Coupled with the ghost pillow, I feel like I get 2 extra hours of sleep per night. I normally sleep 6 a night, but now it feels like 8. On those rare occasions where I only get 4, it still feels like I got 6. I'm a customer for life now.

A friend recommended that I buy a Casper but I read some reviews that said the GhostBed is better, plus it's significantly less expensive. So, I bought the GhostBed and couldn't be happier with it. It's easily the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on.

This seems to be made of quality materials and solid design. We loved the fact that you absolutely cannot feel the other person move around. My husband (5'8", 150 lbs.) felt the mattress was okay, but it was way too firm for me and did not allow my hips to sink into the mattress. I am 5'5" and 130 lbs. I started waking up with limbs that had fallen asleep. The memory foam was cool and didn't overheat us. If you need a firm mattress, this seems like it would be a great choice and would last a long time. Didn't work for us, had to return it. GhostBed will try to offer a topper and say it just needs to be broken in more, but after 45 days, I couldn't take it anymore. Didn't think a topper would really change the feel that much as we had just switched from a too firm mattress and memory foam topper. Then they tried to upsale us to a new mattress, but it was twice the price. Finally gave us a refund after several emails. I think the 101 days trial marketing isn't working out as well as they hoped and more people are dissatisfied than the website shows. Did get it donated to a charity, waiting for the refund.
