[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I imagine that like many of you, I am a loyal Gillette Venus brand user, so I was curious to try out this product out. Bottom line -- yes! legs are super smooth husband approved with this product. Is it smoother than Gillette? No, not really. Would I buy this product again? Sure, if I was in the market for disposable razors for vacation and such. With that said, I will say that I think I achieved the same results with less effort with the Bic Soleil and here's the longest reason you'll ever read why: The pivot point where the head connects to the handle are located in different positions for the two products. For the Bic Soleil, the handle attaches to the middle of the head allowing for even distribution of pressure and ensuring that all five blades make contact with the skin (see picture). For the Gillette Venus, on the other hand, the handle connects towards the bottom of the razor head resulting in a small but existent lift at the top of the head so that the top razors don't necessarily make as strong of a contact as the ones towards the bottom. To compensate for this, I often put pressure on the top of a gillette razor or pivot the head so that it's 90 degrees to the handle (which is just awkward). I honestly never really picked up on this until I didn't have to do it for the BIC. So why the 1 star reduction? 1. It has the look and feel of a reusable razor, and while I'm sure that's a pro for many, it's not very environmentally friendly as all this material just gets thrown away. 2. The pivoting head" is somewhat of a generous term as it probably has the range of maybe half of that of a Gillette Venus 3. The packaging is ridiculously large for just two razors. It's also a bit annoying as there is no pre marked perforation to help open the packaging (I had to puncture the top with scissors). Once you remove a razor

I have tried other BIC disposable razors before and they didn't work well so I was quite impressed with these. The five blades worked well and I'm glad they didn't cut me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I have LOVED these razors. They give a really close shave and that's what I need since I'm always shaving my arms / legs. The only downside is that when you use a new razor it feels kind of rough, but once you use it more often it starts to glide on your skin smoothly. I also do not use shaving cream so maybe that has something to do with that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Normally, I use a non-disposable 5-blade razor for all of my shaving needs, and I am always very pleased with the results. My expectations when using the Soleil Shine razors were not very high- my previous experiences with disposable razors have always resulted in a mediocre shave and irritated, uncomfortable skin. I was pretty happy with the Soleil Shine razors' performance! First thing I noticed was that the razor itself is very light, but is shaped nicely to grasp comfortably. I always shave in the shower, and use hair conditioner on my legs when I shave. The process of shaving itself was smooth and comfortable, and I felt like I got a pretty close shave. The razors needed a little extra cleaning to be kept clean and clear and I was able to make each razor last about 6 shaves or so. I never experienced any post-shave skin irritation with these razors. Will the Soleil Shine replace my normal razor? No, I don't think so, since they do not last as long, and although the shave is good, it's not quite the same as my regular razor. But I would buy and use these as a great travel razor when I don't want to take my standard razor along since they are so lightweight and inexpensive. I even recommended these razors for travel to a friend. Plus I enjoyed the bright, cheery colors!

If it had a larger moisturizing strip and the head would pivot more, I would give it a 5 star. The shave was smooth but it kind feels more dry compare to Venus. The pivoting head was a plus but there are some area that needs more angle than the shaver provides. But I did like the handle. It was really big which provide you with a good grip in the shower. Overall, I was happy with the result I got from a razor that cost $3 each.

My daughter and I both tried out this razor and we both loved it. It is a lot better than the 2 blade disposable razor we normally use. The wide handle was easier to hold onto. The 5 blades with the moisture strip left a smooth nic free shave. I was able to try the product for free thanks to BIC�. I will definitely be a recurring customer!

The razor it self was pretty wide making it quicker to shave to my legs. The multiple blades were able to reach all of the stubborn hairs so I didn't have to go back for missed stubborn spots. The razor left my legs smooth and silky.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Typically when you think of a disposable razor, you think: cheap, flimsy, worthless, useless, razor burn....let me tell you that the BIC Soleil Shine razors are anything but that! For being a disposable razor, these things are SO impressive! I've used similar products before but now I will never go back to anything but the BIC Soleil Shine. I loved that it has a pivoting head because it makes it SO much easier to shave around the knee area and greatly reduces the risk of accidentally nicking yourself. The closeness of the shave is ridiculously good with NO razor burn at all - my husband couldn't keep his hands off my legs after I shaved the other day. He tends to steal my razors to shave his face and since he was so impressed with how soft and smooth my skin was after shaving, he's requested that we buy these in bulk. Yes, they are THAT good!
