I like that the veggies look bright and fresh. Way fresher looking than canned veggies. But, these have A LOT of corn. It seems every mixed veggie has some core veggie. Seems like most cans have a lot of potatoes. These bags have a lot of corn...

First off I am disappointed that it's hard to find any bulk vegetables that are not packaged in steamer bags. So now you have the same volume but fewer vegetables and more plastic. Secondly these are not what's pictured on the bag. Or sam's is advertising an old brand. The carrots instead of being diced were crankle cut coins. And they comprised at least sixty per cent of the vegetables. If I wanted carrots I would have bought bags of carrots and added a few corn peas and green beans to it. I expected about twenty five percent of each of the four vegetables in the bag. I'm really not a huge carrot fan but I'll tolerate it if there's plenty of corn peas and green beans. Now I have 5 more bags of these things that I have to. Tolerate until I can find another brand that doesn't cheat me out of the other three vegetables. By these if you like mostly carrots otherwise move on.

I have to keep these on hand for many things I cook. Stews, soups and casseroles. I want to share a special dish I make with this. 2 bags of mixed vegetables, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, 1 block of cream cheese. Melt soup and cream cheese. Put veggies in a half size buffet pan... dump melted sauce on vegetables and mix well with a couple good squirts of soy sauce. Put in pre heated oven at 450°F for 30 minutes. Serves 8

These vegetables have always been descent price and flavor, convenient to use in everyday meals and soups. My recent purchase of these had a chemical taste of some type almost a Soapy flavor. I have decided to no longer purchase them because of this. Cant believe I am the only one who has mentioned it.

So it's similar to getting two cans of vegetables per individual bag. That's a lot of money saving! Plus it lasts longer because it's freeze-dried. Nutrients are kept intact, I don't worry about cutting myself with a sharp lid, or struggle with the can opener anymore. Lots of bang for my buck? Yes please!
