[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received this Beauty rest 900 extra firm mattress, and so far I am pleased with it. I'm really impressed with how sturdy and well made the mattress is. It is a firm mattress, but it also offers some flexibility. My husband is a back sleeper with some lower lumbar issues, and he finds the mattress to be very comfortable as it helps to keep his body more aligned. I am a side sleeper, and I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable I also find this mattress. It is not nearly as stiff as I anticipated. Aside from the wonderful support; my favorite features are the cooling technology and the motion isolation. I am always hot during the night, and the cooling technology really helps keep me much more comfortable and well rested. I actually found that I am not tossing and turning as much as I used to. The motion isolation ensures that neither of us is bothered by the other's movements, and allows for a better nights sleep. Overall, I think this a great mattress for anyone looking for extra support with added comfort.

I was due for a new mattress for a longer time than I would like to admit, so this is definitely an upgrade! Overall, I am happy with it. It is more on the firm side though.

It has been about 30 years since my last mattress so I kind of went with the groove. This mattress is attractive and soft on the top-not a pillow top though. I will never regret getting the exta firm as this does my old bones so so good. I actually cant wait to get into bed at night. The delivery people were good and on time so the whole delivery was great, I would definitly recommend.

Maybe I have been sleeping on hay all my life or something, I woke up with pain all the time. I have been using this mattress for about a month now. No Joke, I have slept better. When I woke up, I found that my body seemed really stiff. After staying at a hotel with a firmer bed, I realized that a firmer mattress would be better for me. When I got this mattress I was happy to see that it was a perfect blend of support and softness. I haven’t slept this good in a long time. I wish I would have made this change years ago.

Like many adults, back pain and general soreness can make it hard to get a good nights sleep and a firm mattress makes all the difference. Unfortunately the last firm mattress purchased online was a fiasco; yes it was firm but more like a foundation than mattress. I ended up having to purchase another mattress and went with a medium which never really did the job either. Fast forward to this; right from the beginning it felt like a better purchase because it wasn't rolled up in a box that required having to expand for 24-48 hrs....it was shipped and ready to go as a full mattress. Next, it's firm but forgiving; perfectly providing support but not hardness. The same for the sizing; thick but not absurd so sheets still fit but without having to wrestle them on/off. If you have back pain or sleep issues, try this one out. It's not hot like some of the full foam mattress types, it's not a brick but provides comfortable support.
