Furniture itself is very lightweight, yet sturdy. Seems like it should hold up if it doesn't blow away in a strong wind. However, there are quite a few things that I do not like about this set, and one in particular that I absolutely loathe.
First of all, the loveseat was wobbly. I'm not talking like a little wobble either. There was one side a good 2 inches off the ground when the other side was flat. Going to have to see if I can bend the frame to even that out a bit.
Speaking of the frame, it is hollow, but still solid. The frame itself is painted to look like faux wood, which I happen to like, but it might not be for everyone. Now, the "wicker" is the kicker. It's a synthetic resin or some other plastic type material. Should hold up better than just plain wicker, but mine came a bit damaged. However, the look of this synthetic wicker can best be described as, "a moldy mess." Seriously, I thought this thing was covered in mold when I first opened the box, but apparently that's just the look they were going for?
It's honestly baffling that they decided this was a good aesthetic. It just looks horrible up close. From a distance, you might be okay, but it 100% looks moldy in person. I'm even considering removing the "wicker" entirely and either wrapping it myself with jute or just leaving it bare bones. Unfortunately, it looks like that part is also glued onto the frame. I guess I could try painting it first instead. If I didn't get this set on clearance, I would have just returned it entirely - it looks that gross. If you have any chance to view this set in person before buying, you absolutely should do so.
Now for the good. Like I said before, it being so lightweight is nice for rearranging and it seems to be sturdy enough. I'm not too worried about it blowing away seeing as it's situated on the deck, but that is something to be aware of. There are no straps or anything holding the cushions to the frame. The metal coffee table is just beautiful. Time will tell if the finish holds up, but the table was probably the biggest reason why I decided to get this set. The chairs and loveseat are quite comfortable, so I don't really have any complaints there aside from the uneven loveseat. Not a fan of the cream colored cushions, but they are comfy and should be relatively easy to clean. The covers are also fantastic quality and fit over each individual piece like a glove. You get a cover each for the 2 chairs, one for the loveseat, and even one for the table. Honestly, the covers are probably my second favorite thing about this whole set.
Again, I got this set on clearance for a pretty big discount, so I can't complain too much. That being said, for those spending at or near full price, the quality is just not worth it. If you like the overall look, then maybe you won't mind the wicker part. I'm sure I could probably get used to it over time. It's just really, really icky looking up close. Will update with pics when I get a chance.
