Installed a 50 foot strand across my house. They look and work great! Then tried to run an extension down to the first floor and add an 18ft strand to go along my porch overhang and quickly found out govee doesn't sell anything to make that happen. Their 3 prong plug size is one of a kind so to add another piece of lighting to the first one, with space in between, you basically have to chop up the end of the cords and add your own “homemade"extension. For this reason, they get a 3.

I absolutely love my lights! I choose to use mine indoors to accent my bedroom space. They are perfect! I love the warm glow they give, it's not too bright or harsh. The price was fantastic as well! I would definitely recommend these to friends and family!

These lights are beautiful but they only lasted 2 days. I had them professionally installed and now they're up all around my house and don't work. A whole grouping stopped working and it was tough getting a response from Govee. Finally a refund was issued but without much communication. Too bad. I had high hopes.

Lights are great and work as stated. No issues with the function. Only thing that would be nice is if the wires and light pods came in colors. Not everyone has white soffit, and if they are marketed as "permanent" it would be nice if they didn't stand out on the house they were placed on. Tan, White, Brown, Black maybe search the most popular siding colors in the US. Otherwise love the lights and will pry continue to buy more products. Also a desktop version of the app would be nice for the wifi connected lights. When selecting the individual lights for colors it is hard to select them with fat fingers. A steady on multi-color function would be nice not everything has to move.

The lights look great when they are in place but that proved to be a problem after just one week when they had to survive their first rain. The adhesive pads failed en masse despite being "all weather" and having the instruction followed. I wont say the blame falls 100% with Govee, there is a lot of variables in play when it comes to use adhesive pads like this including activation pressure, the material you are applying it, and (even though 3m wont say it directly) humidity. It would be nice if an alternative mounting option was supplied given the price. The lights look good, but if they aren't staying up what is the point?

The lights themselves are fantastic. They shine brightly against the house and my wife absolutely loves them. The reason I only gave the lights 3 stars in this case is the mounting hardware. The 3m tape and clips/screws are hardly what I would call a permanent install. We have an older home and ended up using different screws as well as additional mounts to help keep things mounted. Lights are 10/10, Applications 8/10, and hardware 3/10.

Anyone giving these 1 star are only mad because they couldn't get their hands on them, not because they don't actually like the product. I did manage to get my hands on these - kept an eye on the in-stock dates for months and got them on my second attempt to buy (the first time, Govee mistakenly launched them an hour earlier than what they said the in-stock time would be). These were shipped extremely fast and delivered to me in well under a week. I will say, I'm rounding up with the 5-star rating because I have to; in truth, I deduct half a star for the very minimal hardware included to affix the lights in any real permanent way. Each 16.4ft strand comes with six 10mm LED light clips that you can screw in; one for every 4 lights. Aside from that, each light has a 3M adhesive backing that I guess they expect to do the job of holding the vast majority of lights up year-round - except, the reason I bought these is because adhesive hooks weren't doing the job for my traditional holiday lights and definitely would still not do the job with these. So, I went on Amazon and bought 100 more of the type of screw-in clips that came with these (search “Hysmigor transparent Strip Light Clips"and thank me later). We put one on each side of each light (in addition to using the 3M adhesive backing), which was time consuming, but now we know beyond the shadow of a doubt that these lights aren't going anywhere. And all that was totally worth it! I just love them. So easy to set-up with the Govee app and manage alongside your other Govee lights (I'm not employed by Govee, I swear, but these outdoor lights are a new addition to my existing collection of TV strip lights, gym floor lights, and interior car lights from Govee. I wouldn't have so many if they weren't extremely easy to set up/use, and weren't truly adding value and joy to my life). The fact that I can not only leave these up year round and never have to hang Christmas lights again, but also change the color scheme for each holiday and gathering, makes these worth every penny and hour spent hanging them up. We are even using them as neutral flood lights outside in between holidays, as our yard is otherwise very dark. My wife has wanted Christmas lights on a house since she was a little girl. I wouldn't do it because of not wanting to spend a whole weekend every year climbing up and down a ladder. Permanent outdoor lighting is making my wife's dreams come true. And the install took less than half a day so it made my dreams come true too! Outstanding!!!

Excellent product. I have over 150 feet (2 different power sources). Everything about these were easy from setup to the phone application. I had to splice the wire due to a run on the roof line that didn't need a light. No problems with a cut solder and shrink tubing. Great product! I'll be back for more lighting options!

The lights are great but the navigational portion of the app is less to be desired. Would like to see it dummied down a bit so one doesn't have to go to tech school to navigate. Would be nice to open it and choose a color(s) and pattern you'd like to see without the hassle. My wife and I still haven't figured it out the way we want it. We just got lucky by pushing buttons and left it where it landed.
