I couldn't be more impressed with Govee Lights 2. From the moment I installed them, it was clear these lights were designed with both performance and ease of use in mind. Setup was fast and straightforward, and the Govee app is intuitive, responsive, and packed with customization options. The brightness and color accuracy are phenomenal. Whether I want a clean white light for everyday use or vibrant colors for movie nights and entertaining, Govee Lights 2 deliver consistently rich, smooth lighting with no flicker or uneven spots. The dynamic scenes and effects add a premium feel, instantly transforming the home.

I installed the Govee Permanent Lights 2 on my home and initially really liked the look and brightness. Installation was straightforward, and I took extra precautions due to cold weather—temperatures were around 30°F at the time. I used a heat gun during install to properly activate the adhesive and ensure good contact with the soffit. Unfortunately, after about three weeks, the lights began falling down as the adhesive failed. This was disappointing given the effort put into installation and the expectation that these are meant to be “permanent” outdoor lights. The adhesive simply does not seem suitable for Ohio weather, especially with cold temperatures and temperature fluctuations. If you decide to purchase these lights, I strongly recommend using third-party mounting brackets or track systems instead of relying on the included adhesive. The product itself looks great when installed properly, but the mounting solution needs improvement for colder climates.

Exactly as described- these lights are amazing. They are easy to install (relatively) and once in, nothing to worry about ever again. The programming in the app is simple and there are unlimited ways to program your lights (controllable to each individual light) should you find the preset themes are not enough. Lights look great!

The good: great installation with the adhesive and clips. Lots of options, including color selection and patterns. The bad: The app is terrible. Everything is far too complicated, not intuitive, and redundant. Specifically, I used a DIY all of December and no matter how many settings I tried, the lights would not stay one brightness. They would go all the way dark and suddenly light up 100 percent. Now I have them on one color with a simple sunrise- and sunset-based schedule. All appears to be working (although I've caught them doing the suddenly bright thing a couple of times).

The lights are fairly easy to apply, although we played around with them to get just the look we wanted. They've held sturdy through several storms, and simultaneously, cheerfully lit up the house. The app is very easy to use, offers preset color patterns as well as the ability to make your own patterns. We are having a good time playing around with them. And from the number of people stopping to watch our lights, other people are enjoying them as well.

We love the lights. Very bright. The app is a little clunky, but manageable with some tinkering. My only serious complaint is the mounting hardware cames with screws that are so small they are unusable with any standard cordless screwdriver. These are designed to be up under the eve, meaning tight working conditions likely at the top of a ladder, in my case a tall ladder. The last thing I want is to be fiddling with tiny screws that don't work with power tools. I went out and bought a case of 3/8" sheet metal screws for a standard Phillips head and it made mounting much easier. The 3m sticker they give you to mount is worthless as a permanent mount no matter how well you clean the surface. It was only effective long enough to get the brackets over the lights.

Tons of options for the light display , almost too many. Lights are bright and nice but for 330 you'd think the adhesive on them would stick.. two days after I put the lights up 30% fell , had to put the bracket and screws into each light around the house.

Love the lights but it takes a while to put up. Take your time and make sure you do it right they turn out great.

I am very happy with these lights which are easy to install and even in cold weather if use a heat gun they stick on the surface tight. I love that I don't have to take down lights now and can use these year round for different scenes.

The lights are great, very easy to change the colors and there are a ton of options. Tough to find an extension that was compatible, but made it work.
