I love the fact that it is extra firm and really it is my back is all messed up and it’s so hard to get comfortable in the bed but this mattress just hits all the right spots to make for a good night sleep that I haven’t had in really long time! My wife sleeps in it as well and she like to shake her leg to go to sleep which always annoys me lol but nope can feel it in this mattress at all which is wonderful I can move she moves and we don’t feel each other moving all over the bed! I will say the mattress is a whole lot thicker and taller on my bed so I do recommend deep pocket sheets so they will fit better on this. Overall I love the mattress oh yea and I don’t get so hot either which this mattress which is wonderful as well! This mattress is great if you in the market you should definitely look at this mattress you won’t regret it

So far, I have little to no back and hip pain after sleeping 2 nights on this mattress. That’s fantastic!! However, the first night I was very hot and didn’t feel that the mattress was “cooling” at all, despite the brutal cold outside and the 64 degree temp in the house. Last night I had the furnace turned down to 64, turned on the overhead fan to cool me and slept better. But does the mattress really have a cooling element? It didn’t seem like it the first night.

I was used to a foam top that immediately conformed to my body and was sure I wasn’t going to have a comfortable sleep. I was wrong! After a few nights of test sleeping, I discovered that it was firm, yet conforming and comfortable. I was getting restful sleeps and my usual morning stiffness was almost nonexistent. The memory foam layer was working to my advantage. It seems well constructed and the side handles make it easy to reposition, yet they retract to make them almost disappear. The one feature, which is quite important to me, is the layer that is supposed to move heat away from your body. I like the microbial aspect of it, but personally it does not provide enough of a cooling feature. I had hoped for more cooling relief than it provides, but because of the other features of the mattress are exceeding my expectations, I’ll look for more cooling relief with adding a possible extra pad, thus the 4-star rather than 5-star rating. I’m excited at the aspect of getting some good, restful sleeps for a long time to come.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Beauty Rest Silver is very firm. You’d think it wouldn’t be comfortable being as firm as it is, but it actually is! My back hasn’t hurt anywhere as near as much as it used to. I actually fall asleep quickly and wake up less frequently as I used to. If you have back issues, this is the mattress to get! It’s also very thick and higher off the ground, so it’s easier to get out of. I have this on my adjustable bed and it works perfectly.
