I received this kayak for father's day and was able to take it out. let my wife try it and the next day I bought one for her. they are very stable and comfortable have taken them to lakes around Lake Tahoe and they are great and lots of fun to explore on.

Fun in the sun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went on a kayak fishing trip, I really was surprised how comforting and peaceful a time it was. I thought about it a lot. I went to the local sporting goods store to look. The angler Muskie Kayak. It was all I hoped for. The storage as in other reviews is bad, but the handling in the wind is easy and fun. Going in the shallow water between rocks

Florida hauler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this on vacation in Florida so I could do some shark fishing! I caught some! Seriously though this is an incredible value. I did have a problem with the seat pad coming off and the drain plug coming off during transit. Called lifetime and they're sending replacements free of charge! I've had lots of questions about this boat in Ohio and have several people buy them because of my happiness with the brand! Btw this is my third kayak and still the one I use the most. Thanks guys!

Great Kayaks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really happy with my purchase. They are solid beginner kayak's. I weigh 240 and it holds me no problem. Because of how wide they are I think is why they are so stable, so they don't track the best. But I've been in one for hours and have no problems. The seats are pretty good, not great. But for the price you get them for you can upgrade to a comfy seat!

It's all you need

I'm 5'11”, 190 lbs and 61 years old. The kayak was surprisingly easy to lift onto my truck racks probably because the handles are placed at a good balance point for the boat. Upon entering the kayak I was disappointed that the surface water came up high in the scupper holes and splashed up as I moved into position. The seat seemed comfortable, however after a few hours I decided to use a stadium seat from now on. Other than these two points the rest of the day was great. There was ample room for me and my gear. The kayak's width, (beam), makes it more stable than others, though I didn't attempt to stand. The V bow and trailing skegg made it move well through the calm lake water. Moving closer to the bay with some wind required extra effort. Simply put, if you're just out to explore, have some fun and do some light fishing, this is all you need.

Very Fun Kayak

Bought a pair of the Anglers in the spring of 2017. We use them a lot and love them. This is a very stable kayak which is key. I feel very secure in it. That is key. Tracks well. We are very happy with them. Drawbacks are the weight, a bit heavy but not unmanageable. And the storage area inside the hull is open to the entire innards, so if you put something inside, it can be hard to retrieve as it can be anywhere inside. Too bad it doesn't come in something more colorful. But I do recommend this kayak. Great value.

Love my Tamarack fishing kayak!

This is a great fishing kayak if you are a weekend angler and not going to do tournaments. It's sturdy and stable. It has two downfall to me, one being the the seat is extremely uncomfortable if you're in the kayak fir any length of time (I replaced in with a stadium seat and it's great now. And the second, and pretty major issue for anglers) is that the hatch cover right in front of your legs, is now garbage. It's now rounded, so you can't add Velcro and attach your fishing too tray to it, and it snaps on instead of screwing on. So water gets in the hull easier now. With all that being said, I own two Tamaracks. One for fishing with the flat top hatch cover, with my fishing tool box velcroed to it, and another one that I let my clients and friends use if they are coming with me.

Outstanding Kayak - OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kayak is amazing stable and excellent for fishing ponds, reservoirs, and lakes. I weigh 240 lbs and was amazed has to how this thing handled as well as the stability. I recently moved and the movers inadvertently lost one of the hatch covers. I went to the Lifetime page and chatted with Randy (customer service rep) within a minute he told me that they would send me out a replacement part free of charge. Outstanding product and outstanding customer service!! If only Comcast and AT&T could provide such customer service! I love you guys!

Will easily hold 330lbs.

Honestly, I gambled. Like most things, this is engineered with a fudge-factor involved as some 275lb guy will think "hey, I'm 275lb" and then doesn't think as he loads 30lbs of gear on as well. Well, this is rated at 275lbs, will float 330 very easily. About 1/2 inch of water comes through the scupper holes though... you can get scupper stoppers if that bothers you. Personally, it doesn't bother me one bit as I may be sweet but I'm not made of sugar so I won't melt in a little water. :) Just purchased, had it on the water twice first weekend (wife bought a Tioga model). Tracks well on the water. Oars need drip blockers to keep the water from rolling down your onto you, but that's literally my only complaint. Very satisfied. Would highly recommend.

Great except

I bought this Kayak a year ago (actually the 103 version). I love it for fishing, however I have encountered two significant problems. First and most important, there is no way to secure the bow and stern when transporting. The lift handles supplied are not strong enough to tie down. This for me is a significant safety issue and should be rectified in all their Kayaks. Second, there is no interior access in the stern. If you need to add accessories you have no way to provide inside security and must either use self taping screws or rivets. To me this is another significant problem especially if you need to run power or other cables from the stern to the bow.
