The two best things about this kayak is its stability and weight. The two worst features are its eat and the drain holes directly underneath the seat. The seat / backrest has no support whatsoever and had it not been for the two drain holes directly underneath the seat I would have been dry the whole time. Overall it's money well spent.

I have taken it out now 6 times. I freaking love this kayak. Sturdy and stable and it's easy to get in and out of. The back rest for the seat is absolutely weak and could have been made much better. As for the paddles, they are fine besides not having a drip edge on them. Super lite and easy to carry or move around. Besides the backrest I absolutely recommend this kayak to everyone.

We just bought two of these and fish often in Santa Margarita Lake California. We get lots of bass and catfish, just yesterday 14 catfish. Kayak fishing is fun. We enjoy the water and silence vs a boat with a motor. FYI I flipped my kayak last time and lost two poles and a tackle box and my Lifetime rod holder, Lifetime replaced it! Great Company. Love their tables also.

This is a great fishing kayak if you are a weekend angler and not going to do tournaments. It's sturdy and stable. It has two downfall to me, one being the the seat is extremely uncomfortable if you're in the kayak fir any length of time (I replaced in with a stadium seat and it's great now. And the second, and pretty major issue for anglers) is that the hatch cover right in front of your legs, is now garbage. It's now rounded, so you can't add Velcro and attach your fishing too tray to it, and it snaps on instead of screwing on. So water gets in the hull easier now. With all that being said, I own two Tamaracks. One for fishing with the flat top hatch cover, with my fishing tool box velcroed to it, and another one that I let my clients and friends use if they are coming with me.

I did have a problem with the seat pad coming off and the drain plug coming off during transit. Called lifetime and they're sending replacements free of charge! I've had lots of questions about this boat in Ohio and have several people buy them because of my happiness with the brand! Btw this is my third kayak and still the one I use the most. Thanks guys!

I used the bungee cord from the front dry storage.. Dry storage stays dry as advertised under normal conditions. I find it to be very stable and easy to maneuver. The kayak tracks very well. Overall great purchase for a great price, very satisfied. I have purchased 8 kayaks from Lifetime, keep up the good work.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Kayak a week ago, and I took it out for it's maiden voyage at the the end of the week. I absolutely love this Kayak. However, the paddle is not that great. I was pushing through some slow rapids and had to push off to keep from getting stuck. It didn't take much pressure, but the paddle bent. I put my hand over the bend in order to protect it from further damage. A little while later during normal paddling, it bent further and caused a crease in the metal and then broke. I had to paddle with half the paddle for the rest of the float. Again, I love the Yak. I will have this Yak for a while. But, now I have to get a new paddle and can't go floating this weekend like I was planning. I tried calling customer service and sending an email, but I have not had a response and have not been able to get anyone on the phone.

Recently I lost the circular hatch cover and needed to replace it. I called customer service and they are sending me out one for free.
