Charmin, this last product you have put out touting it as a wonderful improvement is really taking from your customers in these days of inflation. Not only are the toilet paper sheets smaller and thinner these days, now you have scalloped the edges so that we get still less in every square! The ‘scallops’ do nothing to ensure a cleaner tear but now more has to be used to get ‘the job’ done. It’s not going to help you make money by making your customers use and thus buy more - your customers are going to, like me, go to another brand. Your competitors are lovin’ it.

We've bought Charmin Ultra Soft Toilet Tissue for many, many years. I've spent 60 + years serving the United States Navy. There are roughly 1.4 million military personnel and families serving the United States. All of us are used to putting a Straight Edge on everything we do, i.e. folding Tee Shirts, Underware, towels, etc. With the new SMOOTH TEAR it is impossible to put a straight edge on toilet paper. Don't know where your engineering personnel came up with this Smooth Tear but it is horrible, if this isn't fixed you'll lose a lot of customers.

However, I have been surprised by the Charmin Ultra Soft. On the positive note, this is definitely one tissue is that it is strong while still being soft. It gets the job done without having lint everywhere. Another thing is how long the roll lasts. Typically we go through a few rolls a week. These however have lasted up to four rolls in one title that they boast of. Another good thing is that while they last long, they still fit on the standard size roll. On the negative, the toilet paper does seem to clog a little bit more than normal for us. After using a roll or two, this doesn't seem to be a problem anymore, but originally it was. All in all, I would definitely consider picking up the the ultra soft brand in the store when we go in. Typically we do not go for the softer brands, but this one seems to fill a niche that has been left behind (no pun intended), from the other brands.

The amazing shrinking Charmin - the first Mega rolls were truly Mega. Then they narrowed, and started falling off our tissue holder. We adjusted the holder, but the Mega rolls kept getting smaller and smaller. Now the rolls have narrowed again, prompting one to wonder if soon we'll be flossing with Charmin - what a mental picture that brings to mind! However, the last purchase was the worst - the so-called "Ultra-Strong" tissue was as thin as the thinnest single-ply tissue. The embossing was exaggerated to make the tissue appear thicker, and the rolls were loosely rolled to make them look larger. I've been loyal to the Charmin product through many changes, but P & G has stretched my loyalty to the limits, and I will no longer buy the Charmin products.

At first I was unsure if I would like it because it did give off a little lint when I opened it. I usually buy whatever toilet paper is on sale or the cheapest. This is definitely worth the exta money. The rolls are exta large and extra soft and of course absorbent. I also use the toilet paper to wipe my makeup brushes and the makeup under my eyes. I do think the Charmin is much gentler on my skin. Thanks Charmin for giving me the opportunity to try your product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is like heaven to your tush. You will never have to worry if this brand will have your hand it poo. A little goes a long way. It last my family of five longer than any brand even with the excessive and unnecessary use of our teens.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Charmin Ultra Soft is so soft.. I was shocked about only using a few pieces to wipe. It doesn't take 4 or 5 pieces to get your bottom clean.. It is thick enough to where your hands stay clean. It doesn't rip or tear... I think I may continue to use the Charmin Ultra Soft.

Most of the time, this means that I can buy a store brand equivalent and be satisfied. I almost never reach for the "name brand" products unless they are on sale. I just assumed that the quality of the product would be the same. I was surprised when I used Charmin Ultra Soft! I already had the store brand equivalent in my bathroom, and at first glance I could see that the Charmin was a lot thicker than the store brand equivalent. I also noticed that the Charmin actually lasted longer than the roll we normally use, which was also surprising for me. After using this product for the last few weeks, I would definitely consider replacing my "normal" toilet paper with this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! What can I say.... WOW! This is how toilet paper is suppose to be. This is how I remember back in the day toilet paper. It's nice and thick roll goes on and on. I keep waiting to have to replace the roll. The other brands need to be replaced almost daily. This roll has been on for days and is only half way thru. AND...oh it feels so nice. The hardest part is remember that you do not need a feet or two of paper to get the job done. Just a few squares and your good! I can't wait to replace my stock with the good stuff!
