The roll was much bigger than I was used to and the quality of the paper was far superior to any of the brands that I use. The texture was super soft and the sheets were very thick. This really is the nicest toilet paper that I have ever used, despite the fact that I frequently switch brands all the time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before I got Charmin ultra soft I wanted to know if it really was as great as everyone says. I have to say it is BETTER. It is so soft on the bum and the face. It has a great texture and is very durable while still being soft. It leaves you feeling clean without using a lot of toilet paper. I have never noticed toilet paper having a smell, but as soon as I opened the bag there was a light clean smell that made want to smell the roll. I use to use the cheapest toilet paper I could find because I thought "what does it matter it's just toilet paper" and I was so wrong. You really have no idea what a difference Charmin ultra soft makes until you try it! I am definitely not going back to cheap toilet paper again!

Boy howdy was I ever wrong! I've never purchased it before because I thought it would be full of fluff and nothing substantial. I normally purchase Charmin Ultra Strong so I am already a Charmin girl. Well, I put the Ultra Soft to the test today. It is after midnight and I still have a roll that is only 1/4 of the way gone! With 6 people using it for our bums as well as to blow our noses. I was so impressed when I went to use it that as it rolled as being used, I did not have lint flying everywhere! I have used "soft" types of toilet paper before and hated it so that is why I was so leery to purchase this one. Now, since it did a great job while using less, I will definitely have it on my grocery list! Thank you so much Charmin for allowing me to test this for you and for myself! You made a believer out of me!

So as I comfortably sat on the throne, I unrolled what would happen to be the most amazing, soft, piece of TP my behind had ever been privied to feel! The Charmin is thick, but not too thick, if you know what I mean. It stands up to the test of a firm wipe without breaking and is quite effective if I say so myself. The best part hands down is how gentle it is. Unlike public bathroom TP that has the feeling of splinters on the behind, the Charmin Ultra Soft is kind to the behind, and feels inviting and pillow-like. I must say, I am a fan.

However, in our experience, the superior softness and the fact that it lasts longer ultimately justify the slightly higher cost. You definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality and comfort. Overall, despite the slightly higher price point, we highly recommend Charmin Ultra Soft. Its exceptional softness, good thickness, and lasting nature make it a worthwhile investment for a comfortable and reliable bathroom tissue. It continues to be our preferred choice, and we don't see ourselves switching anytime soon.

Always buy this product. If the store is out of stock, Ill go somewhere else.

The new smooth tear is a failure. The regular tear was much smoother.

I like the smooth tear Charmin as it tears in complete sheets better then the straight tear.

It is not ultra soft and definitely not smooth or easy tear@
