[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Herbal Essences Rose Hips Smooth Shampoo and have mixed feelings about it. The packaging is cute and reminds me of the 2000s. On the positive side, it smells really nice and it lathers extremely well, which makes it feel like it’s doing a thorough job of cleaning your hair. After washing, my hair looked clean and fresh, and it definitely removed buildup. That said, if you’re someone who double shampoos like I usually do, you might want to be careful with this one. Because it lathers so strongly and cleans so well, it can be a bit stripping if you use too much or wash too frequently. After using it for three washes in a row instead of my usual routine, my scalp started to feel itchy and I noticed some flakiness. Overall, I think it works well as a clarifying or occasional shampoo, especially if you like a strong lather and a really clean feeling. But if you have a sensitive or easily dried-out scalp, or if you double shampoo regularly, it might be better to alternate it with a gentler shampoo.

It lathers very well. Very easy to rinse out. Depending on your hair, your hair is a little shiny, but not really. Rinse out very well.

I have oily scalp and dry ends, this shampoo gently cleans my scalp and nourishes my dry lengths. It smells refreshing and beautiful. This shampoo is very good for daily washvand it doesn't strip the natural oils in the scalp. Very gentle and clean and doesn't leave any residue. It feels very lightweight and the packaging is very convenient. I will continue to buy this shampoo!

My hair is naturally so curly and it left me feeling less residue than my normal products that I use!! Influenster has made access to this product so easy! And styling the next day was also so easy!

The scent is very enjoyable, nostalgic to the original herbal essences. I will definitely continue to use this product. However, my hair did feel slightly heavier when styled and didn’t have as much volume. I had to fluff my hair a little more throughout the day as it tended to lay flat. This isn’t a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if volume is the goal!

My hair felt great the next day. It was smooth even after sleeping on it. I wish I have had the conditioner to go with it. Used this on my 5 year olds hair which is normally unmanageable. It worked great met it sleek and smooth throughout the day!
