[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t get over how captivating the scent of this herbal essence shampoo is. As soon as you open up the bottle, the fragrance escapes. When I wet my hair and applied the shampoo, it gave a really good ladder and it opened up the notes of the shampoo fragrance. I had minimum shedding and it rinsed out of my hair very well and I did not have any residue left in my hair. It has been six hours since I washed my hair and I can still smell the rosewater.

You didn't need a lot of it to wash your hair, either. It just left a residue that weighed my hair down, so it unfortunately doesn't work for me

Formulated with an infused blend of rose hips, Vitamin E, and jojoba extracts to help your hair for a soft, smooth look. And it absolutely helps with a natural shine. This duo is cruelty-free, silicone-free, mineral-oil free, color-safe, and pH-balanced. It's suitable for fine, flat, straight, colored, and oily hair.  There is a very subtle scent while using this duo. I get it more while in the shower, but I was able to still smell the scent on my hair until I washed it again. It's not overly floral or rose-y, which is good news. But I love how soft my hair feels and how shiny it looks after using. I noticed the conditioner does help with defrizzing. There was a difference if I only used the shampoo vs using both the shampoo and conditioner.

It cleaned my hair without making it feel dry, and my hair felt soft, refreshed and smooth after rinsing it out. I also noticed a little bit more bounce and volume to my curls. My hair texture is bomb.

Herbal Essences was the brand when I was younger—everyone used it, especially for those iconic floral scents. The Rose Hips Shampoo still retains its soft, fresh floral scent, which I remember. It lathers well, cleans without stripping, and leaves my hair light, soft, and shiny. It’s not the most moisturizing formula, but it does exactly what it promises and smells amazing.
