I used it for my daughter's unruly hair as well and it was much easier to brush. The scent is pleasant but not overpowering. I don't usually love rose hips fragranced things much because they're usually too strong for my nose but this is subtle and I like that a lot. I didn't notice any residue or difficulty drying my hair. I would definitely keep using this.
