I’ve been testing Herbal essence’s rose hip shampoo, and it has officially earned a permanent spot in my shower. What I loved about it The scent is iconic. It smells like a fresh rose garden in spring. The best part about it? The sense sticks to your hair all day long. The formula is clear and lightweight creating all rich, luxurious lather that removes buildup without stripping my hair of its natural oils. As someone who struggles with frizz, I noticed a difference in its manageability. I also love that this formula has 0% parabens, silicones, and mineral oils! It’s pH balance, and color safe which gives me peace of mind. The texture of the shampoo is a crystal clear, medium velocity gel that feels incredibly silky in your hands. I have also definitely felt a difference in the strength of my hair because of the vitamin E and rose hips and the reduce of breakage! Overall and huge win!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Herbal Essences Smooth Rose Hips Conditioner and while it smells really nice and lathers surprisingly well for a conditioner, it just wasn’t for me. The texture feels smooth going on and it spreads easily through my hair, but I didn’t get the hydration I was hoping for. After rinsing, my hair didn’t feel as soft or moisturized as I like, and it still felt a bit dry. It might work better for someone with a different hair type, but for me, it didn’t deliver enough moisture to make it a go-to.

Painful tiny blisters and little scabs have been wreaking havoc on my head, which really sucks bc my hair is so short. You can see how easily this smoothed my frizzy mess. The smell is that classic HE smell that will transport you back to middle school. But sadly I cannot use it!

I never apply it higher than that. It’s very hydrating. The packaging is OG just as I remember it and for the price point I even have my daughter use it.

I love the smell from when you open the bottle, to your pillow after a night’s sleep, and still on your hair the next day. It creates a very thick lather which gives a “very clean” feeling. However, my hair felt a bit dry and brittle after rinsing - not the best option especially I need moisturizing shampoo.
