My favorite element of the product is the bottle design! The signature roses visible behind the shampoo is nostalgic, with a fresh/modern take. When I smelled the shampoo, it brought me back to my childhood-clean, floral, and comforting. I love that herbal essence is sticking to its roots while making a few updates such as becoming paraben-free. The actual performance did not match. My hair felt dry and this is not a shampoo I would be able to use without a conditioner. The shampoo took too much moisture out of my hair instead of balancing it. I gave my hair a squeaky clean, feel but not in a good way. My hair lacked volume and shine. The good news is that the scent stayed within my hair for a day and a half. And I didn't need another wash right away. Overall, I would give this shampoo a 2/5.

I was pleasantly surprised at the nice smell, I don't care for rose but it wasn't overpowering. It left my wig moisturized and after rinsing out, it was very soft and the curls popped. Almost like new but with a nice scent!
