It's easy to apply and find at any beauty stop or pharmacy store. It's okay but I wouldn't reach for it when there's other options. I do have damaged dyed hair, but I've found other products that do work better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Herbal Essences Smooth Shampoo leaves a rose scent that fills the shower. The rose scent does not last long on the hair when it dries. It is not as strong as the old formula in lasting fragrance compared to when it came out many years ago and is slightly different in scent. I had to use 3 pumps of shampoo to get enough lather for my long hair and scalp areas. There was no itchiness or irritation. It left zero residue when rinsed out. I feel it does a good job to clarify my hair and scalp and removing oiliness. I loved how shiny and straighter it made my hair when it dried. Feels a lot softer too. I can use this alone without the conditioner and my hair still looks softer and shiny. This very large size bottle I think will last me many months, which makes it worth the value you would pay.

It cleans the scalp very well and leaves it soft, shiny and easy to comb. In addition, I didn't feel that my hair was hungover and the ingredients are light. Excellent combination for hair

Has very nice and fresh rose scent. Works great with rose hips conditioner. Helped my flat hair look more lively and gave healthy shine. Also lathers very well. Very happy that I got a chance to try this shampoo.

I remember when this shampoo first came out with the ridiculous TV commercials and how popular it was. Herbal essence was the cool shampoo to use back in the day mostly because it smelled so freaking good. I would have to say it's held up over time. It has the same signature scent as I remember from 1999. It has a good lather and leaves my hair feeling very clean. It's one of those shampoos that when I'm rinsing it out my hair will actually squeak lol. I used this in combination with the matching conditioner and in the before and after pix I can definitely see a difference in the texture of my hair. It looks smoother and there is less frizz then with my previous products. This shampoo is kinda nostalgic for me, bringing back memories of highschool. I'd say it's held up over time. To me, it's pretty similar to when it first came out. It's a good affordable product that can be counted on year after year. I love when companies don't mess with their core products. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Reliability is something that matters to me when choosing shower products. I hate when I find a product I love and the company discontinues it then I'm left searching for a new one. Well, not with herbal essence. I'm glad to see their consistency with their base products

The coverage goes a long way with just one squirt it rinses out so easily, where it does not burn eyes combine it with the both shampoo and conditioner. You have a wonderful shine.
