The floral scent is light and not overpowering, which i appreciated since I'm not usually into floral fragrances. The pump works easily and the conditioner rinses out cleanly. Overall, it's decent but nothing special. It gets the job done, but it didn't provide the moisture I was hoping for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Herbal Essences Smooth Shampoo leaves a rose scent that fills the shower. The rose scent does not last long on the hair when it dries. It is not as strong as the old formula in lasting fragrance compared to when it came out many years ago and is slightly different in scent. I had to use 3 pumps of shampoo to get enough lather for my long hair and scalp areas. There was no itchiness or irritation. It left zero residue when rinsed out. I feel it does a good job to clarify my hair and scalp and removing oiliness. I loved how shiny and straighter it made my hair when it dried. Feels a lot softer too. I can use this alone without the conditioner and my hair still looks softer and shiny. This very large size bottle I think will last me many months, which makes it worth the value you would pay.

However if your hair is very dry it probably won't provide much deep nourishment although it does leave the hair very manageable and easy to brush. It doesn't create build-up, helps with the tangles and doesn't feel oily on the hair.
