About 4 months ago I underwent a medical proceedure that caused bouts of partial incontinence. Like other men my first resort was traditional sanitary pads. The design of these pads did not accomidate the male needs so I looked for alternatives and graduadly rulled out everything but the Depends Guards for Men. However, after a while and several very embarrising accidents I noticed what I consider a critical defect in the manufacturing construction of the Depends Guards. The mastic that is saposed to secure the pad to the undergarment. The shortcoming of the design was a failure of the front-top portion of the pad which led to the front-top of the garment folding inward which inturn led to leakage and/or sticking to vital parts. The sticking was uncomfortable at best and frequently painful attachment to undesirable boidy parts. Since this series of malfunctions I have switched to another brand with somewhat more durable mastic. Oddly enough a generic substitute that out proforms a name brand.

They are pretty comfy and no one would be able to tell you had one on. Now for the smell. There is absolutely no smell with these. They are great and very discreet.

The one issue he consistently complains about are rashes and breathability in his lower areas and that wearing regular pants on top of the diapers gets to tight. This is a great substitute for him and he loves how the sticky back allows him to wear regular underwear and stick the liner inside it. It doesn’t make his pants bulky and he says he definitely feels more comfortable sleeping at night since it doesn’t scrunch up or feel as if it’s there. He hasn’t complained yet about the absorbency or odor compared to his regular adult diapers, so for now this will be a great substitute for him and his comfort!

After urinating, no matter how long they shake, urine continues to leak a little bit inside your pants. Its uncomfortable and can also be embarrassing if the stain goes through to your pants. Luckily these Depends Fresh Protection Guards easily solve this problem. Simply insert one of the guards inside your boxer briefs or regular underwear. These guards WILL NOT work with Boxers as there is no where to adhere the guard too. Once the guard is used remove it from your underwear and toss it. Its thats simple. It is also very discrete so no one else will know your wearing the guard.

It was harder to convince my elderly father they are worth wearing even though he did try them at my request. All he said was they fit but I doubt I’m wearing a maxi pad. Whether he wears them so that him and my mom can venture into town comfortably will be his private business I guess..at least he’s been presented with them. I think if the inside was grey or black or something of the sort maybe not much maxi pad looking inside more elderly men (generationally speaking) would look to it. Im happy they even make something like this so men can have some freedom should they decide to accept.
