"Smart Straw" is dumb

I've pretty much stopped buy WD-40 since all I can find it in at local retailers is the "Smart Straw". My experience is that the nozzle leaks and gets everywhere except where I'm pointing it. Since WD-40 hasn't made the old version of the can an option, I've moved on to another product after using WD-40 for over 40 years.

Smart Straw Blows

Just picked up my first can with smart straw and very disappointed. There is serious blow-by where the pivoting straw meets the nozzle. This results in 1/2 the WD-40 dribbling down the can and the other half coming out the straw. That is of course assuming the straw is at the perfect angle to match with the can nozzle....if its off by just a little...all of the wd-40 will dribble down the can. Always loved WD-40, just want the original can with the detachable straw.

Can't love without

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I keep this in my kitchen but my hubby keep stealing it! I use it to remove the sticky residue from labels, take the squeak out of a door hinge, etc.... Extra bonus having the "straw" sprayer to get it where it need to go!

Everyone should have a can!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WD-40, one of the greatest products ever. Just last night I used on our squeaky door that leads to the garage. (I know using it on the hinges may cause dirt to build up, but it still works for me!) Having the straw built onto the nozzle is also fabulous--it's difficult to lose it and it gets in most super tight spots. I remember the old days when the straw came taped to the can....it was good for using the first few times, and then at some point the straw would inevitably disappear. This can also allows you the option to use it without the straw for larger areas. It does a fantastic job of cleaning up some rusty spots on older tools. For me, this is one of those "basics" you need around the house to help you out when you need it.

Got Squeak?

Had a squeaky door hinge on my bedroom door. The door would stay open by itself but squeaked every time I would open or close the door. I sprayed that door hinge once and the noise stopped. However, it never stayed open on its own again. From that day on I had to prop the door open. It never made a noise again.

Best for everything

I have had WD-40 in my truck and garage for as long as I can remember. Now a days with the copycats there are many choices, but I say with the one I know works. I also love the fact when I spray on something in the garage the overspray dries up and doesn't leave any residue. However still always quieting the squeak or making the door close easy and no drips to get on the clothes and such.

Works Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good Ol' WD-40.. Its always good for getting rid of those pesky squeaks. But it also works pretty well to help get grease stains out of clothes. My husband being a mechanic uses it to help loosen rusty parts. And being from a cold state and having older vehicles, it has even helped when the locks were frozen. It's just a good product to keep around!

nice size

I have trouble with my hands so this size is perfect for me to handle. I use it on almost everything that isn't edible. I spray the conncetors on the garden hose, makes it very easy to connect and disconnect. I do all my door locks on the house. I use it on my seals around windows and doors on my car during the winter, keeps the doors from freezing and I also spray it on the bottom part of my sheperds hooks, don't know why, but it helps keep the coons from climbing up to the feeders. Great product! Can in the work shed, house and auto because I never want to be without it.

Use for so many things!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is some of the most handy stuff you can have around, I use it for soany things. It's great for making tight bolts loosen easier, it quitens squeaky door hinges. The straw is cool because it can get into tiny crevices without making a mess.

Great rust removal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WD-40 with smart straw is easy to apply either sprays or stream to the rusted parts. It is also effective in removing the rusted residues and keeps it from rusted again. Other than usual used on rusted area, I also found out I can use it on some other things. The battery holder of my kid car's remote control got rusted and I sprayed WD-40, left it for 5 minutes and wiped it completely, let it dry for a day, and the control worked again. I was very surprised. I highly recommend this.
