I have two cans with the new 'permanent' straw... neither one sprays when I push it, then it drizzels out unpredictably, and 'keeps on go'in' after I let up creating a real mess and putting the lube everywhere but where I want it. Haven't seen an upgrade this bad since OFF started using the integrated plastic valve designed to keep morons from spraying themselves in the face (I guess). - Mac

You can also just fold the straw down to spray. It has so many uses! I recently sprayed it on a squeaky door. No more squeak!

I'm a ground maintenance worker at my local state park, and this trusted shop standby has a new use - preventing camper's fees from ending up in the wrong hands. Let me explain. We have a camping fee drop box that is pillaged at night, mainly from non-campers stealing camper's fee envelopes. What they usually do is that they take a wired coat hanger, place some adhesive on one end, and fish the envelopes from the slot. Coming from a tech background, I know that the WD-40 Multi-Use Product is a really effective dissolver of adhesives. To this product's success, it has successfully dissolved wet patch roofing adhesive to CatchMaster Bulk, the very same or similar glue substance used on many rodent glue traps. It even leaves no residue behind so that no envelopes are easily rippable. If there was one question I'd ask, that would be "What happened to the non-aerosol-based WD-40 Multi-Use Product Trigger Pro?" It had a very nice spray area as far as I've read, and I'm wondering if it will make a comeback. With this product being over 50 years old, it continues to astound me. My grandfather and father used and introduced me to it, and I'm a fan of this humble spray can. Thanks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WD-40, one of the greatest products ever. Just last night I used on our squeaky door that leads to the garage. (I know using it on the hinges may cause dirt to build up, but it still works for me!) Having the straw built onto the nozzle is also fabulous--it's difficult to lose it and it gets in most super tight spots. I remember the old days when the straw came taped to the can....it was good for using the first few times, and then at some point the straw would inevitably disappear. This can also allows you the option to use it without the straw for larger areas. It does a fantastic job of cleaning up some rusty spots on older tools. For me, this is one of those "basics" you need around the house to help you out when you need it.

The easy flip of the smart straw makes storage and changing how you want the spray delivered easy and convenient.

Squeaky doors are no more, my husband even used it to lubricate the bicycle chain so the bike rides smoother. Also the "smart straw" how did they not think of this sooner, I remember the days of looking for the straw but now its so easy it stays attached and flips up when I need it.
