[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I washed my brand new jeans and sweater the other day using Downy and I have to say that I love how soft and clean smelling they are! They smell clean but not with an over the top perfume smell. The jeans are so soft and they feel like I've had them forever! But they look brand new. I normally use a different brand of fabric softener but after seeing and feeling the difference, I won't be going back!

After a recent purchase of Downy, my laundry and house immediately started smelling offensive. After closely studying the bottle, I noticed that Downy now calls itself a "CONDITIONER". It's apparent that the new designation resulted in a new scent... Multiple attempts were made to give the new scent a chance, but it became unbearable. I have been a faithful Downy fabric SOFTENER user my entire life. Now that Downy is a fabric CONDITIONER, the smell is horrendous. I did luck up and find some old, original SOFTENER at a store (I bought the only 2 SOFTENERs on the shelf) - but assume my Downy days are numbered. Unless the original scent is returned, I will have to find a new brand... :(

I was given this product to try for free from influenster- with that being said I was pleasantly surprised just how effective Downy was with my clothes. They were softer, and smelled wonderful! So give your clothes a spa day they work hard to make you look your best help them look and feel theirs!

This softener more often than not, leaves small blobs of undissolved residue on my clothes. It's gross and I'm left having to re-wash the load. I'm not sure why this would happen. I've tried it at all different strengths, and this happens even when it's incredibly diluted. I'll try the downy free without any dyes and see how that goes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this brand of fabric softener for the past 20 years. The april fresh scent is light and refreshing. I feel like this has kept my clothes soft and lasting longer without fading! Also, I have noticed that my clothes have less static and pilling. This is my preferred brand and will continue to be.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try Downy ultra. The scent was amazing even before I opened the bottle. It's concentrated so a little will go along way. I tried it in a load and was surprised how soft everything was when I took it out of the dryer. Even some of the towels that are usually scratchy were nice and soft. I plan to use Downy ultra regularly.

Overall the fabric softener is rather average, to get things truly soft in hard water I have to use to rinse cycles and with this fabric softener. What I truly don't like about it is the bottle spout leave a wash load of product trapped in the bottle, its quite wasteful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the new Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Conditioner, it leaves my clothes smelling so fresh and soft. The scent is not overpowering at all, but is long lasting on my clothes! I will most definitely continue to purchase this in the future.

I have used Downy for so long - until they changed the scent from the original April Fresh to this gross smell! They call it “floral” - but it definitely doesn’t smell like any flowers I’ve ever smelled lol. Sooo many people have complained about the change, hard to imagine why they refuse to switch back?? I would recommend Gain over any of the current Downy scents.
