These used to be excellent. They have changed them over the last couple months. Now they are nothing like they used to be, they don't "string" and taste complety different

I agree with all of those that say they have a bad taste. It is almost like a stale taste but with no mold. Won't buy again. Out that money because it wastes gas to go to the nearest sam's.

Kids won't eat it. They say it's "slimy" when they peel of the plastic. Personally, I think it is much more salty than other brands. We do buy loads of the Members Mark string cheese for their lunch packs, and they love it.

I bought these recently and I thought it was something wrong with my taste buds -- it has a salty taste almost like it's gone bad. But I was thinking how could it go bad when I just bought them. Disappointed because I do love cheese sticks but I don't want these again.

Great Cheese Snack! This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own. I liked that all 36 were individually packaged. The cheese sticks break apart well, but not in small strings as some other string cheeses do. Nonetheless, this was great for a quick snack that both me and my kids enjoyed pulling apart. The taste is very good and you wouldn't know this is a "Light" version of a cheese, as it tastes identical to mozzarella. This is a great option to choose as a quick snack or pack with your lunch. I would recommend this to those who enjoy cheese and quick snacks.

We have purchased Frigo String Cheese in the large bag several times before and been pleased with the product. However, we found after sampling a few of the cheese sticks in our most recent purchase, which was less than a week ago and still within the sell buy date, to be quite moist, almost wet, with an overly salty, brine like flavor. They also had a very musty note to them, although the cheese had no sign of any mold. We will be returning the remaining bag for a refund.

Frigo's string cheese is reliably good. I've tried other brands that sometimes taste very old or are dry even on the day of purchase. Frigo's always tastes fresh, and it keeps me on my diet - a great tasting snack when you're craving something salty with less than 1 gram of carbohydrate is very cool.

The pieces look noticeably smaller than what I received last time I ordered this. I just ate the last piece from that order last night so it was obvious. I weighed one of the new pieces, unwrapped:  The weight rounded up was .095 oz, not 1 oz. This is no fault of Sam's Club. I blame the cheese supplier, Saputo Cheese USA - a Canadian Company. Do foreign suppliers need to obey our laws pertaining to fair packaging and labeling? If not then I think the consumer should be made aware of the discrepancy between the weight printed on the packaging vs. the actual weight of the cheese. Shrink-flation is sneaky but it's not fraud if the package is labeled fairly, and accurately. Ref. 16 C.F.R. Part 500 and Calif B.P.C. 12601 Regardless of inaccurate labeling, the string cheese still tastes good; albeit, just a little on the scammy side.

I'm usually not a fan of string cheese as i think they are dry but this brand is an exception. I purchased because I am controlling my caloric intake and small portion prepackaged snack cheeses are a must for me because I love cheese and was eating far too much! Hopefully Sam's will still have them in stock when i run out as I would absolutely purchase again.

I am happy to have recently discovered this whole milk string cheese. It's high quality and has a good flavor. Fewer carbs, more fat, if that's the kind of diet your body needs. A welcome snack option. I am glad Sam's carries this full-fat version, and not only the non-fat higher carb version which I should not indulge in.
