While it is firm, it is also cushion like. It forms to my body the way I need it to while putting pressure in the right places. I am getting the best sleep I have in a long time.

I got a hybrid that was a bit more firm and every night I'd toss and turn. I got this extra firm mattress to see if it would help and I sleep through the night now. I don't feel my partner when he moves around and the sheets never pull up off the bed, probably because it is so firm that there isn't much movement. So far it is holding up shape really well.

This mattress is firm but not rock hard; it's a great balance. It is also a very thick/deep mattress, so make sure your sheets are deep or they might not fit. The firm bed we traded in during the 120 trial period had problems. Too soft on one side and in the middle. It was a flawed mattress. I got this for my Mom. We then traded for the extra firm and oh, what a difference. Thank you. But, I was very concerned about the price difference. I will call to double check the information.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a side sleeper and this matress feels wonderful. It's firm, yet soft and plush enough that it doesn't hurt my body and I can sleep comfortably. Upon ordering I don't think I realized how tall the mattress actually is, it's not a bad thing, but if you had or wanted to add an additional topper onto it you might have a hard time trying to find sheets that will fit over both. It does come with a built in pillow top, so I have not had a need for additional topper but just a mention.
