Hi Greyed A, Thank you for your purchase and for the video of the image issues you are having with your new DU8000 TV. I have put a few troubleshooting steps for you to try before calling Customer Support for a warranty appointment. First, if you have any cables connected to your TV, please double-check that they are securely inserted. Next, there are energy efficiency features designed to reduce power consumption that may be causing the flickering. Go to Settings > All Settings> General > Power and Energy Saving > and adjust the Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, and Motion Lighting. Finally, I recommend running a picture test to ensure it is the TV, not the program source. Go to Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test. If you continue to have issues, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Hi Not Great, I'm sorry your DU8000 TV is randomly shutting itself off. If your TV appears to turn off by itself, try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions. See if the Sleep Timer has been enabled. The Sleep Timer automatically turns the TV off after a specific period of time. Go to: Settings > All Settings> General > System Manager > Time > Sleep Timer If the Sleep Timer has not been enabled, see if Auto Power Off or Off Timer has been enabled and disable it. - Settings > All Settings> General > Power and Energy Saving > Auto Power Off - Settings > All Settings> General > System Manager > Time > Off Timer If the TV continues to turn off by itself continuously, please get in touch with Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Not happy

Hi Rick, We appreciate your feedback on the response time, and for optimal performance, we ask that you please ensure you've got the latest firmware version installed on your DU8000 TV. You can check this by going to Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update. You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care. Below are some tips to help improve picture clarity: 1) HDMI cables are recommended for optimal HD viewing. 2) If you have an analog cable box or satellite box, upgrade to a digital cable box or satellite box. 3) Change the output resolution of your devices, such as digital broadcast receivers, IPTV, and set-top boxes, to UHD or HD. 4) You can further adjust your sharpness, brightness, contrast, color, and more by going to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings 5) Choose a Picture Mode by going to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Mode and choose from Dynamic, Standard, Natural, Movie, or Filmmaker Mode. 6) For optimal motion image performance, you may want to adjust the picture clarity setting by going to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings.
