It is definitely still soft but not as soft as I would care for. He seems to like this firmness better than a very soft mattress. It's a very attractive looking mattress and box springs. I’m like Goldilocks when it comes to mattresses and I’m forever trying new ones because I was waking up so sore and with back pain. I’m a side sleeper and always thought that sinking into a plush mattress was what I needed. However, my husband likes firmer mattresses so we went with this medium and it’s amazing. I love that it’s firm enough that it offers support but soft enough to cradle your body. I haven’t had this great of sleep since before I had kids. It’s amazing what a good mattress can do for your body too. I no longer have hip and back pain and I’m not waking up sore every morning. I’m writing this review while laying in bed and I’d stay here all day if I could!

It’s firm, which is great, and yet it’s comfortably soft. The quality is impressive, and sitting on the edge is easy, with the nice shaping.
