The dark areas are very pixilated and there is nothing that can be done about it. It's a well known problem. I'm pretty disappointed with my tv. I have a much older samsung tv and the picture is better on that one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture quality on this tv is very good. The 4K content converter chipped the TV is advertised with works amazing at making 1080p YouTube videos and other content into close to 4K.
