Horrible tire

Did not even last 27,000 mile before not passing state inspection, rotated every 4k also and checked the tire pressure. Not rated for buffalo snow. Lock in to 4x4 with close to 1500 lbs in the bed still sliding. Tried to air down the tires also still horrible in the snow. 2014 F-350

Very poor tread life

Bought these for my 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab (275/60 20) less than 2 years ago. They barely have 18,000 miles on them. Rotated every 5k. Show even wear, but they don't appear to be safe for this winter. The outside grove is nearly gone (tread is not as deep on shoulders).

Great truck tire

I purchased these tires for use in the high desert of Southwestern Idaho. They are excellent in the off road areas, strong with lots of traction. The bonus is they are not noisy on the highway and provide all the comfort I need without a ridged ride. My last set of tires were ruined by the same road conditions that I drive these on and the LTX A/T2's are holding up great. I would recommend the LTX A/T2 for any serious off road enthusiast, they are the best on and off road tires I have ever owned.

LTX A/T2 great truck tires

I am running my second set of these tires and will continue to keep only these tires on my trucks. I use these tires both on road and off road in fields and pastures with a good ride and traction. The tires last and maintain good traction and a smooth ride in all weather conditions. After switching to Michelin tires a few years ago I will always buy Michelin. I do ask my tires shop to ensure the set of tires comes from the same manufacturer date. The first set had three with one date and the fourth tire was from another date and I noticed that the odd tire wore at a different rate then the other three tires.

I have been a long time ...

I have been a long time Michelin customer. I purchased a new vehicle in 2007 and did not have 30,000 miles on the tires that came on that vehicle. If they were Michelins, as on my past vehicles, I know those tires would have lasted 60,000 miles. I will never buy anything but Michelin. I am a very satisfied long term customer. Michelin is a great product!

Mileage

I purchased a set of LTX AT Tires for my 2000 Silverado in 2002. These were advertised as 80,000 mile tires. Best tire I have ever purchased. Performance and tread wear was incredible. After rotating them every 5000 miles. Believe it or not I got 120,000 miles and 8 years from the tires before I needed new ones. Needless to say I purchased another set for the same truck. These are LTX AT2. Good tire but I do not seem to be getting the miles from these. Can you tell me why this is?

Best Tires Ever

I have used nothing but Michelin Tires since I could afford a quality tire. I just replaced 4 Michelin tires with 75,000 miles on them. I inspected the old tires once they were removed and they worn even. I would never think about putting anything other than Michelin on my cars Tundra, Lexus, 4Runner and Mustang.

ltx a/t2

Have these tires on a 99 gmc sierra 2wd, always used to run the ltx m/s which was very good but with a 2wd extended cab with an 8ft bed they gave me no traction if I even went near any dirt so I switched to the ltx a/t2 and was very happy with the the results I can now easily drive across sugar sand, wet grass and mud which was almost impossible before, the tires are a little noisier than the m/s on road but its a small price to pay for the increased performance, mileage sems to be very comparable to the m/s as does the wear, all in all a very good tire for any pick up.

good grip, not for heavy loads in the 245/75 16

Purchased only defender LTX for many years and they were great. The defender LTX was discontinued in this size!! I cannot imagine why... so I purchased these as they were recommended replacements. Immediately noticed a swaying feeling. Maybe it was just my imagination, so I loaded the trailer and headed out. Shortly into my trip I noticed the swaying was MUCH MUCH worse. At about 10k miles I couldnt handle it anymore and had to know if it was just me or if the tires were deflecting laterally under load. I swapped to some older defender LTX tires that were used and had low tread. ( I know not the most scientific control) The swaying was gone!! These tires will be gone soon as well. I hope they bring back the Defender LTX in the original construction or better yet, with a firmer sidewall.

Shopping for my third set

I am now shopping for my third set. I have about 80,000 miles on this set. One thing I have noticed, do not inflate to max pressure on the sidewall. Stick to your vehicle's recommendation. I have always run 45 psi in mine and my 2000 Silverado handles very well. Had a quick oil change place pump them up to 80 psi once without asking me. It made for an incredably harsh ride with a lot of sliding/understeer. Follow vehicle recommendations and you will be fine.
