Hi! The 40oz Tumbler is designed specifically with cold beverages in mind due to the reusable straw feature. While stainless tumblers excel at keeping drinks cold for extended periods, they may not be suitable for hot liquids. The main reason is that the double-wall vacuum insulation works by creating a vacuum-sealed barrier between the inner and outer walls of the tumbler. This insulation prevents the transfer of heat from the outside environment to the contents of the tumbler, which is perfect for maintaining the cold temperatures. However, when it comes to hot beverages, such as coffee or tea, the heat can be trapped within the tumbler due to the same insulation properties. This can create an excessively high temperature inside, which poses a risk of burning or scalding if taking a sip through the straw.
