Beware of faulty electronics
I purchased the previous version of this, with the "soft touch" controls that wore through in a few months. I see that Panasonic has replaced the controls with actual buttons which should last longer. However, our microwave would never run for more than a few minutes without shutting down in the middle of a program and the readout going blank. This made using it for more than heating up leftovers impossible. Fortunately, Sam's refunded the purchase easily upon request. I strongly suggest that you seek a different brand of microwave.
We appreciate your detailed feedback and consider it an essential contribution to our ongoing commitment to technological improvement and customer satisfaction. In the event of a recurrence, please verify that the microwave is correctly connected and the power outlet is in working order. You may confirm outlet functionality by connecting another appliance. Additionally, we kindly request you to inspect the display for any error codes and consult the user manual for troubleshooting specific codes. -C
Had Buy Another
Bought a Panasonic Microwave several years ago. I was impressed by the "Inverter" technology which means when you choose low power (anything less than 100%) you actually get less wattage usage, NOT on for a few seconds, off for a few seconds like most microwaves. Well, it actually works. Apparently, after several years, the old Panasonic finally gave out. I changed the fuse a couple of years ago and every few months or so, it would blow and I'd replace the fuse with another "250" slow blow, but when it blew three times in one month's this past month, time I knew it was time to let her go . . . I saw this model with "Inverter Technology" for only $160 and bought it today. Everything is back to normal in my kitchen. Good price. Great product.
Thank you for your 5-star rating! We are happy to hear you are pleased with the product.
Display light ridiculously weak!
Microwave works good when learned how to use it, you need to spend time to read the manual and learn how to use it, nothing is straight forward so there's a learning curve....that cost one star ⭐ Then there is the display, hard to see, but it is there, purple -blue ridiculously dim light there cannot be read unless you straight in front of it and no more than 3 feet away so in a normal bright illuminated kitchen this weak display light is such a design flaw because it is there to be used, it's an important feature right? Like add more time, add 30 seconds, fast check if the popcorn is getting finished, remaining defrost time etc. etc. etc. But it cannot be read from anywhere if not straight in front of the display and no more than 3 feet away! or ofcause unless you want to cook in a pitch dark kitchen, this displays weak light is a mega design flaw it almost make it unsafe to use the microwave oven, this cost two stars ⭐ ⭐, so there's only two stars left....not much after 3 days of use!

Poor Quality on first use
I was excited about 1250 Watt microwave. I started using it and the Power Level and Sensor cooking clearly didn't work. Boiled 2 cups of water at 2 minute regardless of the power level set. The sensory cooking boiled over the canned vegetable 2 times. I fear if the quality of this microwave coming out of factory is like this, what is the quality of the product 1 year from now when I can't return it. Returned product for refund.

Door Lock Problem
Bought this a couple of years ago. It replaced the same one. Issue is the Door Lock. Thanks to a Review by Cheyenne with the proper instructions, I was able to unlock the thing. Panasonic's instructions were wrong and worthless. I would not purchase this again no matter the cost. The size is great which is why it got a 2 instead of 1.
Hello Kalli! We are sorry to hear that your experience did not match your expectations. Your feedback helps us do better! Please note that starting March 2024 the Federal law required microwave ovens to be equipped with an electronic door lock safety function. The oven door is “locked” automatically after it's use to prevent burns. Your input is important to us, as it helps us improve our technology and ensure customer satisfaction. - S
Nice upgrade of my 40+ year-old microwave
This is a good oven but it has a couple of annoying design failures. I bought this machine for its internal size and its turntable. My 40+ year old microwave (still operating when I replaced it) was this size but didn't have the turntable. The turntable helps food heat more evenly without intervention. The size easily holds by 8 cup Pyrex bowl. Okay, my issues with its design are: 1. Setting power level. To set the PL you repeatedly touch "Power Level" until you get to the level you desire. 10 counts down to 1. Either you will wear your finger out or the button. Unless you intent to boil water you'll never cook at at a level above "5". Mostly you reheat using a "2" or "3". 2. Setting time. Everyone today instinctively knows how to use a numeric keypad, and this oven uses it. Panasonic doesn't highlight the pad. It is embedded in a 3x5 matrix of silver keys on a silver background. You need to look before you touch that first key. It would have be nice if they had colored the background surrounding the numeric numbers. 3. 1250 watts!! It can boil water fast. But I don't cook on "10" even when the frozen pot pie box says to cook on HIGH. The fine print in the directions says "Cooking times will vary between ovens." I use "5" and let the pie cook foe almost twice as long. It is a learning experience. You will learn your oven and be happy with it.

So Far...The right choice
Our GE 2.2 finally bit the dust. I went to our Sams to compare. Thought we might downsize, but they had both sizes on display, & when I opened the doors, I remembered why I got the larger size last time. The door opening is too small to get dishes and hot drink mugs out without bumping our old hands. So the space was already there from the other oven. Guess we don't get more room, but I think this is important to remember, as even with packaged microwave meals you don't want to spill or drip, and I like to use pot holders sometimes. The internal lite is too dim, tho. I saw other posts about scratches & doors not fitting right, so I got one that looked un opened. It is perfect and cooks great. So Far I love it other than the dim inside lamp.

Over kill for the average kitchen
I replaced a 10 year old smaller microwave the reason i bought this because it's the best bang for the buck and wanted a bigger unit.A few things to get used to the inside lighting is the darkest of any unit i seen, like other reviews the display is on the small side and i do miss the quick minute settings i had on my old Panasonic, Be aware of the temperature is above average and the glass dish is a lot heavier.

I had it only two days and used it about eight times and it stopped working completely and utterly.
